What a lovely afternoon tea, with prosecco. Great selection of sandwiches, savouries, cakes, pastries and scones. Yum!

This was a mixed experience, nice location & lovely gardens but the room wasn’t cleaned properly before I arrived - toilet was disgusting. Shower is also really low pressure so not fit for purpose really. They could do with either installing a pump or moving to high pressure system. They let themselves down with that, as otherwise it’s nice. Breakfast was good and quiet area.

Disappointing stay here. Room was charged at £195 but was of the £80-90 quality. They can charge this much because of the scarcity of accommodation servicing the nearby Cissbury Barns wedding venue. Better use of money would be to stay in Worthing and get a taxi. Room, especially bathroom, no where near the quality required to justify the cost.

We ate at the restaurant on a Sunday. Ambience was good. Arrived at 1.30pm and drinks were taken swiftly. All good. But then.... After waiting 45 minutes we enquired about our starter (given that other tables had received theirs who had arrived later than us). We were told that it had been mistakenly put behind other orders. It went downhill from there. Mains were cold, staff disappeared for at least half an hour. My mum who has dementia and is usually so neutral, even exclaimed that the service was terrible and that the xmas pudding was inedible. Seems like half the room had Wouchers, so maybe that was part of the problem. Terrible experience and will never return. Avoid

Had the best Sunday lunch here. My nut roast was the best I have had. The desert was fabulous. The service was excellent

We booked Mother's Day afternoon tea for 8 people. 2 with allergies, 1 vegan, and 1 alternative preference. Literally nothing was any trouble at all.... t double-checking ingredients, making sure we were topped up on x3 different milks and 2 different teas! Fantastic service, the lady who hosted us was 10/10, with great patience, understanding, professionalism, and humour. It was such a wonderful afternoon. we've already decided to book for mothers Day next year.

Interesting manor house hotel near to Worthing that a friend advised me he enjoyed a stay at recently. Recommending it to myself to check out. On slopes of South Downs. Saw it from outside as I had previously there passed by. Looks very nice indeed.

Excellent location. Very quite no noise from the big road nearby or from the Village. We had an excellent room direct connected with the garden. The staff was very nice and helpfull. We had a very good dinner. Will come back.

Recently stayed in Kilmore room which was unfortunately dirty and run down. As soon as we walked into the room the lamp shade in the corner of the room fell off. Clearly it was broken but hadn't been replaced. We noticed a photo on the wall with a broken frame. There were dirt and dust marks in the main bedroom and bathroom. There were stains on the curtains. Parts of the bathroom were falling apart and clearly in disrepair. This place has the potential to be great if the necessary repairs are carried out. However, the staff were friendly and the location is good but for £100+ I would expect a higher standard of rooms.

An absolutely wonderful place to stay or simply to eat at.My wife and I stayed here 4 years ago on our wedding night, and since been back for a wedding and also for a meal today. The service rooms and food have been amazing every time. It's just a lovely little place, slightly tucked away from traffic and noise and a nice place to get away.
