They put out fires and save lives and stuff... awesome.

I’m sure the fire service does us proud and save lives daily.However, the recruitment department is below expectations. Boring, dull, and a waste of taxpayers money.Firstly although they have a recruitment team, they still pay for agency fees for recruiting staff ( again this is tax payers money!)Secondly, queuing in the post office would be most exciting than the interview process. It’s competency interview where the interviewers actually ask you to hold on while they read the question off their monitor. I’ve sat in interviews like this but maybe 11 years ago. Completely out of date and soul destroying. I’d rather have the job of the person who tests the temperature of frozen peas on a production line it might be slightly more exciting.Feedback is a crucial part of anyone’s job hunt after receiving the call on Monday to say I was unsuccessful I was eager to see why. But I was asked to wait a week to find out? It was Monday!!!!Terrible experience, terrible interviewers, terrible questions, waste.

They provide a great service.

Still no explanation...have humiliated me...an absolute shambles!
