In the heart of metropolitan Penclawdd village way down deep in South West Wales, you can still find an opticians that delivers a truly outstanding warm and personable service without the corporate coldness of the larger outfits you find and have to endure in the big towns. They are very helpful and understanding, especially when the single guest you had over for Christmas 2021 managed to sit on your glasses; I don't wish to cause a stampede here but when Welsh wife No1 presented herself and my bent frames at the shop, the lovely man within fixed them in nanoseconds and didn't charge. The big deal for me personally is not having to leave the village to get excellent service. They close for an hour for lunch, a reminder to us all to be more civilised.
