Having never planned a funeral before Mark Carr and his colleagues at Maunders Funeral Services in Paignton where a very professional and sympathetic company to deal with. Would highly recommend!!Never arranged a funeral before and after my mom had contacted several funeral homes it seemed these were the best suited all round for price and also timing as the hospital were calling us to move dads body . Mark made it so much easier full of professionalism and yet he carried out our requests as if he were arranging it for someone he loved .Both mark and Sharon were amazing,patient with mom and I and made it as easy as possible to get throughAlthough we only had 10 days to organise it they went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect . Never having arranged a funeral before I was unsure what to expect from a Funeral Director but from the moment I met Kathryn Ross from Maunders in Paignton I felt that she genuinely cared about my late father and for me personally. From providing cups of tea and boxes of tissues to sourcing a green beret to reflect my father’s service in the Royal Marines nothing was too much trouble for her to ensure that my father was treated with dignity and respect and his family with compassion.She even suggested that my daughter select a flower from his floral tributes to include in her wedding bouquet three days later - a very thoughtful and sensitive suggestion which we would never have thought of ourselves. It has been a very difficult time but the support provided by Kathryn has made it slightly more bearable and we would like to pass on on our sincere thanks to her and her colleagues for making the funeral run so smoothly and, most importantly, for taking care of my beloved Dad for us.
