Without any question, this is the finest B&B I have ever stayed in.Lovely peaceful location with beautiful views, large clean well fitted and furnished room with everything you could possibly want and a supremely comfortable bed all combined to make a thoroughly relaxing and enjoyable stay. I particularly liked the small touches like milk in small bottles in the fridge in the adjacent dining/breakfast room for you to help yourself to (far better than little plastic pots of UHT milk offered by most hotels & B&B).Matthew & Helena are the most friendly, welcoming hosts who take a genuine but not intrusive interest in their guests and offering suggestions based on their knowledge of the local area. I thoroughly enjoyed chatting with them.The crowning glory was Helena's huge impressive breakfast - freshly cooked with top quality dry cured bacon, butchers sausage, proper black pudding and free range eggs.I just wish I had booked for more than one night.Highly recommended, and I will be back!

Fantastic B&B in a lovely setting. Hosts are very welcoming and friendly. Room was clean,bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic. We arrived late but the host made some wonderful sandwiches. Very highly recommended.

One of the best B&B we ever have been. Host outstanding and very accommodating. We were notoriously late for breakfast and they were waiting for us. Room very spacious clean and welcoming. The mugs got for a change the right size to have a normal cup of tea. We felt like home and would chose this place above anywhere else. Thanks for making our stay a very nice experience

Had such a lovely stay here. Owners were lovely and very helpfull and breakfast was cooked perfectly the next morning. Rooms were beautiful with a lovely comfy bed and an amazing view. Can't fault our stay here at all and definetly would go back.

Just returned from a stay here with friends and needed to write this review... form start to finish we could not be happier very welcoming hosts Rooms are traditional with the everything you need for a night very homily feel with amazing views .. the food oh my god the food was amazing portions where big and everything was cooked to perfection and tasted amazing.. I will be returning and highly recommend as a place to stay.Thank you for making our weekend..

This is one of the best B&B's I've ever stayed in (and I've stayed at dozens all over the UK). Mathew and Helena were very friendly and welcoming and the location is just so beautiful.I heartily recommend ordering the dinner, especially the vegetable hotpot or cheese and onion pie as they were some of the best home cooked meals we've had for years.The breakfast was lovely and the coffee is strong enough to wake you up for the journey ahead.Would visit here again if we're passing through. A+++

Just WOW - what a find. Just excellent. We stopped here on our cycling tour. Matthew was an excellent host with a great sense of humour. Helena (I think?) is an excellent cook and provided us with a great evening meal (you need to pre-book this) and breakfast. I can't recommend this excellent B&B highly enough, just superb.

Superb. Best B and B we've ever stopped in.Used as a stop over for a lovely meal at the nearby Parkers Arms.Lovely large room with great views. Clean and tidy with a comfy bed. Room facilities included tea and biscuits, television and good WiFi.A further bonus was the small bar downstairs where you can treat yourself to a beer, wine or softdrink for a small fee.The included breakfast was excellent with the best local ingredients.All of this was enhanced by the lovely hosting by Matthew and Helena...we even left with a box of tomatoes, cucumbers and courgettes grown in the garden when we checked out.All in all, a great location, great hosting, lovely rooms and fantastic food...all for a humble price. What's not to like?

Lovely modern spacious rooms. I would highly recommend you experience dinner there, home cooking to the highest level along with very friendly hosts. A place not to be missed if you are staying in the area

Spacious room, ground floor with view of the valley. Arrived and friendly owners made tea, then we had a very good meal that I had arranged beforehand. Breakfast, a good choice of everything. We were attending a wedding in nearby Slaidburn and had decided to make it a mini break and we hope to go back again. Excellent.
