Place looks lovely, bar staff were nice and beer was reasonable but I certainly would not recommend eating here.I had the chicken, ham and leek pie which was nice, however the 'seasonable' vegetables were hardly that unless you consider the seasons of Iceland and the mash is the only mash potato I've ever had to eat by literally cutting it up with my knife. It had clearly been sitting around for much of the day and was warm at best. Covering it in gravy helped but the dish was certainly not worth nearly a tenner.Would have mentioned the issues to staff but no one asked us.

Called in this public house? late afternoon, all, we are pensioners?,Kinds of seating to suit you? i am a mobility scooter user had no trouble it was very good it had disabled toilet great, staff helpful & friendly, we only stopped for a drink doombar great beer n Martini lemonade, will call again to try the food.Thanks n cheers

Looking for a pleasant spot to grab a drink and something to eat in Sheffield city centre? Then check out The Bessemer!A lovely spot just a minute’s walk from city hall, this is a nice balance of traditional pub and modern bar, being easily accessed from street level and offering comfortable seating/dining space. The food menu is decently priced and has a good variety of traditional pub fare as well as lighter options for those seeking something to just sate themselves.Staff are attentive without being bugging, which is also a nice distinction from other such establishments. Music is of a comfortable level too - loud enough to be enjoyed without being too loud as to prevent easy conversation. The only slight detractor to the overall atmosphere of The Bessemer is the slight dinginess, though on a hot day this was actually appreciated as it made it seem cooler.

Nice place, staff and service good. Food poor, mash was rubbery, we both had upset stomachs within 30mins of eating. Wouldn’t recommend eating here

Went to the breakfast with santa experience, brilliant service and brilliant atmosphere. Staff were really polite and helpful. My children really loved santa and all the decorations! Would definitely do it again!
