Speetley EC | Show jumping | Dressage | Eventing | Cross Country | Speetley Equestrian is a prestige event centre based in Barlborough near Chesterfield. We run both Affiliated and Unaffiliated Events throughout the year, including Showjumping, Dressage and Eventing. We also offer Clinics and Seminars all year round.

Very busy and the hottest day of the year! The warm up arena was not big enough and the dressage arena was very uneven. The x-country course was immaculate though.

We often go here to compete or to hire their excellent arenas. They also have a nice xc course which educates young horses. Good facilities, lovely cafe and ample place to park horseboxes.

Whether there for the horsing events or not the Bonjour Café at SEC is well worth a visit in and of itself, great quality home cooked (and homely) food with friendly staff in a fantastic, comfortable and relaxed setting. It’s child friendly too. We really enjoyed our Saturday lunch there.

I live just behind the venue in Barlborough... Sunday 21st May... public address system too loud all day ! Woke my son early... hope I don't have to complin again
