Briar Court Hotel

Brilliant small hotel, which is super clean and tidy. Rooms are not big but comfortable. Breakfast is very good and Da Sandro next door is brilliant

Unfortunately, we cannot recommend the hotel. We stayed 2 nights. The cleaning work in the hallway starts at 7.30 in the morning. The rooms are very noisy and sleeping late is not possible. The bathrooms are modern, but no usable water pressure in the shower, only a trickle. The lock of the room door jammed again and again and the door could not be locked. At least the beds were comfortable and the breakfast was okay.

My wife and I stayed here for two nights recently. Great hotel.The room was very comfortable, quiet and nice. Amenities were great, shower worked well and very little outside noise.The Italian restaurant next door was beyond expectation. The food and service were great. Wine was spectacular!Staff were excellent, especially the front desk staff. They were very nice, knowledgeable and accommodating.We would happily stay here again in the future.

Business stop over. Service fine, room fine, TV reception was poor, and a rumble from somewhere every so often meant a disturbed nights sleep, but the hotel is undergoing a refurbishment shortly, so hopefully to be resolved. The Da Sandros Italian adjourning the hotel served a brilliant meal, authentic and yummy, but it is fairly expensive. Prices for starters £11 with main courses from £12 upwards, average around £22. Busy so booking advisable. Great service.

A Christmas lunch with former colleagues. It's an annual event which we all really enjoy in The Court room. Great service from the staff. The manager, Cheryl is brilliant.

Stayed here for a wedding of a close family member. The wedding was exceptional, the room that everything took place in was a a short distance from the back of the hotel itself but this gave the wedding more of a secluded feel from the rest of the hotel and other guests staying there. The staff at the wedding were brilliant and I couldn't fault them. The food was excellent as well.There was supposed to be a cot in our room that was requested beforehand. This hadn't been put in there when we checked in. We'd brought a travel cot just in case which we ended up using, but a little concerning that one had been requested and not provided. Nevertheless, the reception staff were friendly and helpful whenever I spoke to them!The rooms are a little outdated, but the bathrooms were nice and modern, and the beds were comfy enough! Our room was at the front of the hotel and therefore next to a busy main road, but this didn't bother us too much during the stay.Overall, we had a brilliant day at the wedding, and the room was comfortable, but a few bits of wear and tear starting to show in places.

One night stay only, to attend family birthday celebration, our experience from check-in to departure was excellent. All the staff we met were very friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. The bedroom was clean, very well equipped with everything any guest would need even for such a short stay. My wife and I would like to mention one member of staff in particular, the young man in charge of the breakfast restaurant on the morning of Sunday 11/12/22. He was very friendly, well organised and very efficient, despite the restaurant being busy, as well as clearing and re-setting tables at lightning speed he also appeared to be training up another member of the staff as well. An excellent experience and we will definitely stay again>

Very helpful & friendly staff. Fabulous breakfast. Bathroom / shower looking a little on the tired side and in need of some TLC.
