We went for the potions making class and it was amazing, Robyn the potions master was brilliant and very attentive. Would definitely go again. My ok my suggestion would be when taking people up for the first drink do it in smaller groups as we ended up at the back and kept having staff tell us to move as we were in the way to get to the bar and couldn’t see the front.

The bar itself was very well done and the staff were lovely, however the drinks were disgusting. We ordered 2 cocktails and said to the bartender that they were really horrible, she was lovely and allowed us to order 2 new ones which she recommended given what we said we liked. Got these and they were again disgusting.Would not recommend for the drinks but the staff did what they could to help, not their fault that the drinks weren't good!

My wife and I recently visited this TikTok-famous potion-making place, and our experience left us quite disappointed. While the atmosphere had its charm with some interesting decorations, the overall condition of the place was concerning.Firstly, the presence of flies in the bathroom was not a pleasant sight. It gave the impression that cleanliness was not a top priority. Additionally, the general state of the establishment seemed like it needed some serious attention, as it appeared to be falling apart in various areas. The main issue, however, was with the drinks we made. They were overwhelmingly sweet and sour, to the point of being practically undrinkable. But what truly shocked and appalled us was the 'mermaid tears' concoction, which was essentially salt and water. We were left speechless and utterly disturbed when we discovered that it contained visible bacteria or mold growth. Now, I'm not an expert, but finding such contaminants in a drink is never acceptable. It left us with a thousand-yard stare and serious concerns about the safety and hygiene practices at this establishment. I awkwardly alerted the staff about this and they seemed concerned... but didn't offer any type of financial refund of our money....other than just a sorry.

My wife is a die-hard Harry Potter fan and while The Cauldron is not affiliated with any of J.K. Rowlings work (they do use the replica wands on each table…) it is a place where you should at least have a drink when you are a HP fan of some sort. The atmosphere/ decorations are incredibly well done and makes you feel like you are in your favorite wizard/witch universe. The drinks we ordered fit right in the setting and were very well done. My only gripe with the drinks selection is that I counted a total of 4 non-alcoholic drinks. My wife and I don’t drink alcohol so it was a bit disappointing to see so little choice. I get that you can mix much better and easier with alcohol then with non-alcoholic beverages, but I would like to see them add some more options.Another thing I was a bit disappointed about was the fact that I made a reservation with a £20 (mandatory) deposit to then discover that you have no way of getting back the money you didn’t spend. The non—alcoholic beverages are at most £6.50 meaning you have order at least 3 drinks to not loose any money. The drink I ordered was only £5 but contained probably about 750ml. I could drink that for an entire evening and still not finish it. Meaning that I would loose on my deposit. I personally would lower the deposit to £10 per 2 persons or at most £15.Overall a fun experience that every one-a-be wizard/ witch should try.

Potion making theme cocktail experience. Our potion master was really good, guiding us through the experience with aplomb. The drinks we created at the table were disappointing compared to the premade cocktails, but it was fun mixing the ingredients and following the potion recipes.

The environment was perfect and we loved the cake stand, the magic box and the stand with the second tea. We were a bit disappointed of some of the food (superdry inedible scones, and the more expensive vegan food didn’t have the same variety as the regular food). There was a few small mistakes made but the biggest was that our tea, and the neighbouring tables tea, didn’t turn blue. It was really disappointing when the colour changing tea didn’t turn blue because therefore it didn’t change colour in the next stage. The potion master went and asked someone why. When he came back he just said that sometimes that happens.???We had paid for this experience and the kids was disappointed. We got no excuse more than “Magic is unpredictable”. I would say “This is chemistry and someone is making a mistake” Before we left, we saw people who arrived later got the right stuff and got blue tea.But after that mistake it was time for our preordered drinks and that made us all smile again. The children really enjoyed using the wand to get their delicious drinks and I’m super glad that I by accident ordered two shots. Both the shots and the drink was absolutely amazing! They both looked surreal and tasted great. I really, really loved them!Summary: It is a great but expensive experience, and for the price you expect perfection. Don’t forget to order drinks- they are really worth the money!
