My nan is at this home and the care and attention she is given is fantastic. The staff are kind, caring and very professional. My nan has dementia and they find her things to do to keep her occupied. They put on lovely events for family and friends to visit as well as day trips for the residents. They even had some miniature ponies come and visit last week! Having your loved one go into a home is never an easy decision, the care and support Linda and her team have given us have been exceptional. My nan has been there a year and we are very happy with the care she has received. It is a great weight off our shoulders knowing she is in a safe environment. This home has a relatively small number of residents compared to other homes which gives a more personal touch and peace of mind that their is enough staff to look after residents. If you are looking at care for your loved one I would recommend you taking a look at this residential home

My nan was in this dreadful home. I am going off of my own experience.Well where do I start, firstly the first time I visited, a member of staff met me at the door, I signed in and she walked off and left me in the hallway.I wasn't asked who I was visiting or told where I need to go.on a separate occasion I visited my nan had a little accident, I made the staff aware and it took them over 45 minutes to come down and change her. Finally this year my nan sadly passed away.On the run up to this we were told that only my nans children were aloud to visit and no grandchildren and was told she was not end of life even though she hadn't of been eating or drinking for days.I called cqc and complained and then called the home back to Make them aware of this and within half an hour I had a call back to say we were aloud to go and see her. This was on a Friday, the lady I spoke to said it will have to be on a Monday as weekends are busy. Even though I was not happy with that, I didn't make a scene as I was happy we were going to see my nan.I asked if they think she would last the weekend and the reply was I don't know I am not a doctor. If that's the case then why tell me she is not end of life.We saw my nan on the Monday, she was definatly not in a good way at all. The nurse arrived when we was there so we had to leave. we took all our PPE off in the door way to give to a member of staff, myself and my sister were crying and very upset and there was no compassion what so ever. The member of staff did not say 1 word.On the Saturday my nan sadly passed away.If I was not persistent in trying to see my nan, we never would have never of seen her before she went.Family is everything. Please do not send your loved ones to this home.I am a healthcare professional and the compassion and professionalism form these guys is no excuse what's so ever.
