The Children's Society Shop, Ipswich

Grossly overpriced items. Literal print outs of what items are listed for on eBay (not what price they SOLD for on ebay, what PRICE THEY ARE FOR SALE FOR!!) ebay is an international market place. The shop is on the edge of one of the poorest estates in the East of England !!! Used children’s toys more expensive than you can buy them new. Volunteers generally nice although a couple of ladies who I believe to be paid staff are so rude to their colleagues and customers. Banardos on the same parade of shops is a much more pleasant shopping experience.

I regularly donate clothes and goods to this branch of Childrens Society charity shop in Hening Avenue IP3 in Ipswich and also shop there very often to help the charity. Nice ladies run the shop and the goods have been arranged beautifully like a boutique.

I have just delivered some donations and am very surprised and angry at the way I was treated and spoken to by a member of staff -not a volunteer who was very nice who told to put the donations on the floor in the back room and asked if I had a gift aid card , i didn't have one but said I will have one as you will receive more money. She went to find someone who could set me up a card,to which I had a voice from beyond shouting does she pay tax! she finally came to set up a card to which she said she hadn't got time for this as she was in the middle of something... she then said what did you bring in - I showed her to which she said NO NO they mustn't go there ..see we have far to much stock... . at that point i said don't worry i wont bother you for a gift aid card ..and walked out ..I will not be donating anything else to this charity shop - appalling attitude and rude
