Dofos Pet Centre & Dog Grooming

I was quite bemused and disappointed by the service of the groomer" at this place. I came here once before to get my dog's nails trimmed and he was fine with a different groomer. But this "groomer" I felt lacked experience. My dog didn't feel comfortable getting his nails trimmed. The "groomer" didn't have any technique to calm him down or to take him into a more controlled environment instead of the main shop floor where customers were browsing. It was causing an embarrassing scene.The "groomer" just walked away aggressively and with her back to me said he needs to go to a vet and to get him sedated. I guess this "groomer" is not experienced with dealing in dogs with anxiety. I went to a different groomers and they were able to harness him in to get his nails cut."

Nice little shop. Went to pick up some Natures Instinct dog food for our corgi boy. Treats are a big pricey…but then again you are in Stockbridge.

Do not use this dog shop! I purchased a cows hoove for my dog from here a few weeks ago and she been extremely ill since! Has cost me £200 at the vets already and she still isn't better! Vet has confirmed it was this so please be careful with your baby's when visiting this shop.

Overpriced, pretentious and limited selection of (bougee) dog kibble. Their promo days e.g. yesterday's 70th anniversary was horrifically organised and left many queuing for upwards of 2 hours in 25 degree heat, without any management of customer expectations whatsoever. We went to the groomer once a few years ago and haven't used them again (see other reviews). Go to JustDogs or Bowsos instead.

Awesome costumer service. The workers were really nice and professional. Luffy smelt so good and our friends were complimenting her coat. Will definitely go there again

Unfriendly staff.I entered the shop today and there's no staff there. I was looking for applaws cat food with sardine flavour, but there's none. Then I used my phone to search for another shop for this cat food, a female staff came and asked if I needed any help, the way she looked at me was not welcoming and not friendly. Then I replied no, her fake smile faded. She looked at me like despising me, and then she walked away. I could not believe what kind of service I just received. I actually could buy some applaws cans with ocean fish flavour for my cat, but I decided not to spend a single penny in this shop because of this poor service.I visited another dofos in leith walk before, the staff were great. But this shop is horrible! There're lots of options of pet stores with good services. I'll avoid this brand in the future.

Fantastic new store, so glad to have one a little closer to home and my pup is very happy about it too. Great treat selection and brilliant raw food options. Staff are kind, friendly and ALWAYS more than happy to help with any queries I've had. Staff even remember us when we visit again! I couldn't recommend this Dofos more - it's the perfect place for anyone who wants the best for their pups whilst doing the right thing and also supporting a lovely local business.

Love these stores! Glad to have one close to work. Staff always welcoming, friendly, very helpful and always remember us! Great selection of raw and natural treats and foods for cats and dogs. Has a good choice of ruffwear harnesses. Would say the Morningside store has slightly more toys to choose from but still enough to keep pets happy. They also have a groomers here that you can book! Great to see a family run business do well and manage to expand over the years! Great local store to support
