It was a lovely evening spent enjoying birthday bubbles by the gorgeous Christmas tree. My friend Corinne & I both celebrating birthdays. We really enjoyed it here. Totally recommend it for a cosy ambient time. Staff friendly, officiant & cheerful.

Wow what an amazing hotel and wonderful staff. We had a family break here and everyone was so helpful and accommodating. The little details make all the difference from a nice stay to an increasingly stay, and the management and the hotel staff delivered. It really could not have been better, from the evening meal in the restaurant to the very comfortable beds. We will definitely be back.

Staff have a terrible attitude. We stayed for our wedding weekend, racked up a huge bill as well as having other guests stay at the hotel and are now still arguing over a £100 deposit for my dog, that should be returned to me. Rooms are small (we thought we were getting the biggest one in the hotel - but they are pathetic, especially for the price). Room service poor - if you are lucky to even get through to them! And just the general attitude with the staff and management an absolute joke. I will never recommend staying here. Though they do do a good breakfast... for a hefty price. Avoid Hotel Du Vin.

We met for a drink with some friends who were staying there. The atmosphere was comfortable and convivial. Like any upmarket seaside hotel, the drinks were pretty expensive bur we enjoyed our experience.

Been going here for years. Was really good at first then not so. Things have changed recently as it’s got so much better! Service was on point in the restaurant. Food was better but still needs attention for the price. Yes they have the best ingredients but they need to be cooked to perfection for the portion size and customer order. They addressed my partner’s order of peeling prawns but my steak was way over cooked and small. I stopped using Donald Russell as a personal butcher for the same reasons. Local places will make your restaurant grow again!

Pleasant and quaint hotel in the centre of Brighton. The rooms are named so not the easiest to find them. The hotel itself is quite old and distinctive. The decor is charming and quirky. The bar is 24hours which is lovely to have a night cap after a night out. The customer service was good although there was a couple of small issues - the heating wasn’t working which led to a chilly morning, and the wait to check out was a little frustrating. Having said that, it was a good experience and we’ll definitely come back

We have a stop over before our trip to Spain the room was great. We stayed in the room for around 10 mins before going out into Brighton we returned to the room 4 hours later my wife then asked for a cup of tea so we opened the cupboard to full up the kettle only to find the kettle was full and it was roasting meaning someone was in the room boiling the kettle!!!!!!I asked the front desk why someone was in the room and they couldn't give me an answer so I told them I was going to phone the police but was told by the hotel that if I phoned the police would rejected for the hotel!!!at the end of the day someone was in the room without our consent. I go to around 4 hotels a month and this is by far the worst front desk staff I have encountered

Amazing afternoon tea! We attended for my sister's hen do and the atmosphere was very elegant and posh! The afternoon tea was lovely and very generous with the amounts of food. They also catered well for a nut allergy, giving the person their own stand. The Scones were probably one of the best I have had! The staff were friendly and professional and the location was great, right by the sea front. Would definitely recommend!
