Grooming At Creatures of Putney

I'm happy my dog is well groomed and quickly! I was late coming back and they were happy to watch her. Very happy with my experience

I brought my cocker spaniel here today for a summer groom as our usual grooming place was booked up for a few weeks. I called 2 days before hand to make sure that they would not be using the clippers on her as its better for spaniels to be hand stripped for a healthy coat. The guy on the phone said they would never use clippers on a spaniel. When I arrived today I again clarified what I wanted done to her and it was ok'd by the groomer. When I went to pick her up I could see that it was a patchy job. She is still shedding dead fur and the haircut itself is really short at some places and long in the others. I called to raise my complaint and was told to come and speak to the groomer. I dont really trust her to do the job she did this time so I declined and said I just wanted to share the feedback. I was then hung up on (great customer service). Anyway I immediately reached out to my regular groomer and they where happy to try and do a recovery job. I would say this places is the best spot in town to get your dog shaved!

Received 5 star treatment for my little pooch!What stood out to me was the personalized attention my dog received during our visit. I have been here twice now with my dog and the first time was amazing and they did a fab job! However this time unfortunately my dog caught an infection from the clippers as well as bad razor burn :( I have now had to pay excess of £150 in vet bills, for my poor pup who is in so much pain with his skin! I think it all depends on who the groomer is on the day, I won’t be returning mainly because of hygiene reasons but staff are very welcomingEDIT:After reading the awful review from the nasty owner, my dog goes else where to be groomed as we can always make it to the store. He was not matted nor sick at the time of the groom… the fact that disgusting people like you can own a store and pretend you care about pets.PS Richard Kendal tell Martel he’s not coming to my sisters wedding :)

A bunch of dog hostage takers! We took our dog for grooming and trimming. They give us a price of £60 which we agreed. When we went to take our dog they said £75! When we protested and said that we will not take our dog there next time they said so we have to pay £85! They took our dog hostage and kept him on the other side of the store so we were forced to pay them £85. The experience left me feeling very distressed. If you love your animal I urge strongly not to use this grooming service in anyway whatsoever.As people reading will see, reading the response ofhe owner, they have serious problems with controlling their temper, not to mention a tendency to fabricate stories and twist the truth. My wife did not threaten or intend to leave without paying. She simply said she will not be going back there after they inflated their prices. The response was: “now that you are not coming back, it’s £85 (15% more expensive). Anyone who loves their pet should avoid this place. Just imagine how you’d feel if they snapped like they do in their response to my review, while giving your dog a haircut. I think our beloved dog had a lucky escape.

I made a bad decision when I called this groomers to see their nearest availability & was surprised when they said next day as most good groomers are booked up months in advance, but I took apt as my Labradoodle needed her long coat cut. When arriving they called for groomer to see me & I explained I wanted Molly to have a labradoodle cut, quite short but not close to skin.When I came to collect Molly her hair wasn’t cut short enough, the groomer explained that she could only cut her with scissors as her clippers wouldn’t go through the hair. I told her Molly always has clippers and never had a problem. I paid the very large bill of over £70 & left as I needed to get Molly home.Molly didn’t look like she’d been cut & friends & family couldn’t believe it when they saw her. So I called the owner & explained I wasn’t happy & he said he speak to groomer & call me back, but he didn’t he got the groomer to call me where she started telling me how Molly was matted & that’s why her clippers wouldn’t go through and I could come down for her to show me. I didn’t have the time so I told her I will have to use my mini dog clippers through Molly & film this to prove a point. My clippers went straight through Mollys coat & I got loads of fur off. I filmed this to show the owner & to ask for half my money back for job not completed. When calling him i found him to be very unprofessional & a rude person who had no interest in seeing the video told me he would not refund me any money he’s sticking by his groomer’s decision. I’m very upset as this is the most expensive cut Mollys have ever had & the worst groom ever.I recommend that you read this review & don’t make the mistake I made.

The groomer who does my 3 Pomeranians are amazing really knows how to take care of their hair and they look amazing when I pick them up

Absolutely diabolical experience at Creatures of Putney grooming this afternoon. We took our Golden Retriever Monty in for a classic cut and he left resembling an incredibly short haired labrador (as per photos). In addition it was handled appallingly with the groomer in question even laughing about the situation despite my husband and I clearly being incredibly upset. Do not go near this establishment and make the mistake we did, take your dog elsewhere.
