I've not been here for a few years and I really enjoyed it, fantastic place to shop with plenty of staff to hassle if you have any questions. Really easy place to navigate, they have toilets, a place to buy tobacco products and lottery etc, there is even a big machine to tip all your change in and it gives you a receipt to take to the kiosk to get your cash. You can also scan your shipping as you go, bagging it up and then just pay. The prices are actually not bad, alot of stuff like biscuits etc were only 25p-50p so I will definitely be going again soon

I do love this store. Such a great range of products and great quality. I much prefer this store to buy my food in. My local Tesco often charges alot for often low quality product. Store is a nice place to shop and is well stocked.

I don’t usually review supermarkets but felt I needed to say how badly run and dirty the Matlock branch of Sainsbury’s was.I usually use the Ashbourne branch which is great but this one is terrible. Dirty toilets, empty packaging left everywhere which was a real hazard. Lots of staff milling around but still only 2 tills open and mostly empty shelves.Won’t visit again.

Ridiculous age policy, twice now I have been refused service for paracetamol and a mountain dew because I didn’t have ID on me. This is surprising the fact that I was wearing my work gear both times.

It is becoming increasingly frustrating shopping at this store. Prices remain high and stock often lower than you would like. However the method of payment is the real frustration. In recent months queuing to be served by a person operating a till is getting longer and longer. Less and less operatives are available to ensure queuing is reduced or non existent. Obviously the management want to force people into self service areas. Nothing more than greed and profit before proper customer service.

Online shopping from Sainsbury is amazing .The produce , especially the fresh food is such good quality and therefore lasts longer than other supermarkets.The delivery people are polite , helpful and I would highly recommend them .The prices are good , and communication brilliant.Swop to Sainsbury shopping and get great produce , delivered on time and you won't regret it

The customer service here is brilliant, I’ve found that the team go over and above to help with enquiries. Always smiling and courteous they’re a real pleasure to deal with and I’m glad to have this branch as my local supermarket.

I went to Sainsbury's in Matlock while I was on holiday in the area to get a few bits of shopping.i have never been to a worse supermarket in my life the car park is appalling the parking bays are small and it's layout is really bad. I wanted a certain type of alcohol which is very common brand but they didn't have that in stock which is surprising and the cost of alcohol is extremely expensive in this store then other Sainsbury's. The toilets are very disgusting and the staff at the tobacco till forgot to give me my change and started to walk away until I said what about my change ? The only good point was the petrol station the staff was friendly in there then the store itself.
