We had the absolute best wedding day at Cotswold House Hotel. Mandy and the team did everything they could to ensure the whole day ran smoothly, they went above and beyond and we couldn't have asked for more. The setting itself is stunning and you honestly couldnt find better in the Cotswolds, but what really sets them appart is the attention to detail and generosity of spirit from all the staff. Everything from the incredible food, to their help with decorating and packing up and even making sure we didn't accidently see eachother before the ceremony. This venue really has it right! We were treated like King and Queen throughout our stay and really what more could you ask for your wedding? Thank you so much to Mandy and all the team, we will never forget how well you looked after us and all our guests.

Beautiful gardens surrounding the hotel. Our room was spacious with a very comfortable bed. Spa was lovely but swimming pool is very small. The breakfast was ok. Normally I would put 4 stars but due to our circumstances we had to skip breakfast and check out early, 6pm, and the gentleman in the reception was so nice... He made sure we got our tea and helped us with our luggage! I think it was his new job but he was the kindest person ever. Shame I didn't take his name. Hence the 5 stars.

Satright on the high street of Chipping Camden, this hotel and spa is perfectly situated. The quaint Village is absolutely beautiful and this hotel offers a wonderful view out onto the high street from many of its rooms. The parking is at the rear entrance and offers wheelchair access parking. This is where the spa can be found. The spa is small but large enough to enjoy a swimming pool a Bubble pool and a steam room and of course plenty of room to relax. Many treatments are also on offer here and should be enjoyed. The reception and welcome area was absolutely beautiful and a spiral staircase leads from here up to the rooms upstairs.Unfortunately there is very little wheelchair access here and no lift whatsoever. There are some rooms available on the ground floor but these are the cottages and the sweet and are more expensive. The rooms for spacious and bright and clean and offered all the things that you would need to hand to enjoy your stay.My only moan here was that the double bed was in fact two single beds pushed together and was not really that comfortable. All in all an exceptionally nice and beautiful Hotel and Spa to stay in I would definitely recommend a visit here as it was worth every penny and more.

A fantastic hotel with great facilities and incredibly helpful/attentive staff. The food was excellent quality, £10 for a singular scallop is dear but it was great. Lamb shoulder was as good a lamb you’ll have. Local cheese board was superb. Our room was a great size, lovely view, only hyper critical thing I could say on the room would be the decor was a little tired. The spa is good, small hydro pump pool, massage was good. Location is great, short walk to everything worth seeing. 4.5 stars for us ⭐️

Lovely location and facilities. Great food. Spa relaxing with excellent and attentive staff. Room comfortable. Recommend parking at the front and dropping luggage then driving to park at the rear of the gardens. Be aware of the 10% service charge which states food and beverage only but is charged on entire bill. Would stay again

We spent the night here, had breakfast, dinner and the afternoon tea. Whilst we enjoyed our trip overall we did have some mixed feelings about the experience. In terms of service, whilst the majority of the employees there are polite, there was a particular employee I found to be a little rude and confrontational in nature. Upon arrival we were greeted with other people who were booked in. This person asked us in a funny tone if we had a voucher for the afternoon tea. Seems innocent enough, however they did not ask the other people the same question. I also spoke to this employee on another occasion who clearly didn't hear me when they walked off and came charging back with a confrontational nature asking me to repeat what I said. I got the feeling they thought I had muttered something unhappily as we had been waiting for 15 minutes but I genuinely hadn't. I did not appreciate this at all. This employee was also quite loud at breakfast shouting to customers instead of just approaching tables which I found to be a bit unprofessional and not a tone I enjoy so early in the morning. We had the celebration package which specifies a free upgrade of your room if available, I'm assuming it wasn't but this was not even mentioned to us. In fact it seemed they were unaware of the package I even booked as they asked if I was staying for dinner and began discussing costs, which meant I had to inform them this was supposed to be included in my package. Looking back I probably should have queried the upgrade myself. As it says the 3 course meal was included with room be wary of this. I assume I missed the small print as it actually means £40.00 per head which doesn't even cover 2 courses. So this was a little disappointing as of course paid the extra to get what we wanted. Even though this can be disappointing I didn't mind spending the extra as the dinner was nice and to a good standard and waiters were attentive. I just feel like this should be made clearer upon booking on the site as I do not enjoy hidden costs. The breakfast that was included the following day I would not recommend. The hashbrown was probably one of the worst I've ever had, tasted bitty and reheated. The beans were quite hard, you get 1 very tiny egg and overall the meal was very small for a full english and if I am being honest it was just tasteless. You also have to make your selection and inform them of the time your booking in the night before. I don't mind so much on time but I didn't really want to select my food in advance.I also noted the flowers at the dining tables are real 'flaming katy' which is highly poisonous if ingested.Whilst the afternoon tea was nice I do think £34.00 per person was a lot for what it was. Its also a bit of a hidden cost as the menu just states £34.00 but when you get there you find out this is in fact £34.00 per person. Again just be more transparent about the price. There was only 2 of us so seems ridiculous you pay double for the same amount 1 person would get and whilst the selection was nice and enough for both of us, we did feel overpriced. In terms of price for the room, whilst the room is clean and we enjoyed the stay it wasn't amazing. The mirrors in the room bothered us a bit, the mirror in the bathroom is hip height so you would have to bend to look in it and the only other mirror was in a very awkward hallway spot with stairs so you would have to lean round to get to it. No blinds in the hallway so can be seen in ur towel leaving the bathroom and the room is quite tired looking. One of the doors to other rooms I noticed were broken, this doesn't really bother me personally but if your charging a certain amount I would expect a slightly higher standard. The ceilings are very low so I wouldn't recommend for anyone over 5ft 4 (cottage junior suite). The bed however was extremely comfortable and the grounds are beautiful but could do with some TLC.The spa area was nice but a bit lacking, no sauna and the steam room was out of order so it was just a small sized pool but this is heated with hydro pumps.

Beautiful hotel in the heart of chipping Camden, with the best service. Huge shout out to Alice who made sure there was extra pillows for me after me staying not long after a fairly big stomach operation. She couldn’t have been kinder and more helpful. Huge credit to the hotel. Also the breakfast was unbelievable. See you soon Alice

Very disappointed. Extremely overpriced. The rooms very old and smell ancient. Heating did not work. Was cold at night. Kicked out of spa because we were there two hours and it wasn't fair to other guests who wanted a chair apparently ! Spa was small. We booked a two night stay. Food was mediocre and portions very small. For breakfast I was given half a mushroom one sausage and one hash brown. No full continental breakfast buffet available. Even though booked breakfast and dinner as part of package was told at breakfast if wanted a cappuccino it was extra! Also dinner wasn't included, only a £40 allowance. I would never return and don't recommend ever. I have been to many spa hotels. This was by far the worst. Avoid.

I visited Oxford for the day and decided to stay at this hotel because it offered significantly better value for money than the other hotels in the city. It was only a short drive away, and the setting in the beautiful Cotswolds area was stunning. The rooms are set up as mini apartments on three levels, each with a balcony. The room we stayed in was spacious and well-equipped, with a huge bed, a couch lounge area, and a bathroom with both a shower and a bathtub. The room was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed, with the exception of a slightly small TV on the opposite side of the room from the bed.The staff at reception were very friendly and helpful, and they gave us our keys right away when we arrived. Overall, we had a lovely stay at this hotel and would highly recommend it to others.

Great location, friendly and professional staff. Food was delicious, good quality and well cooked. The rooms are a little tired, marks and holes in the walls. Blinds needed in main bedroom window as curtains let alot of light in. Awake at 6am with light and noise outside. Bathroom tiles broken need replacing. Pool and spa a little small and only aloud in for 2 hours. Overall a good stay. But could be better for the price.
