Premier Inn Southampton North hotel

Premier Inn was lovely, kind, cheerful staff. Clean and well presented. Beefeater was dismal, we were put next to an open door with smokers just outside- just awful! We left before placing an order.

Ideal location for getting into Southampton. Fast access to M27M3/London. I have stayed here before on numerous occasions but I have to comment that my room was at boiling point. Comfortable bed, all the usual things a Premier Inn would have in a standard room. Decor could do with updating in bathroom but a decent size. (Shower over full sized bath). A large self standing fan was provided which over my weekend was permanently switched on. It was hot outside too but room was unbearable which I found disappointing. Make sure you pre-book restaurant. Avoid annex nearest main road as noisy. If you visit in the winter I am sure you will find the room just fine. THERE IS NO AIR-CON AND NO LIFT at this hotel. (It does state on website too).

Beds were nice as was the room but of so dated. I expect none of the furniture had been replaced in 10 to 20 years. Several lights had blown bulbs even the less behind the bed head. Shower gel bottle attached to the wall and very watered down liquid. Staff at check in were friendly but that was the end of any interaction despite walking through the lobby area several times. Far enough out of the city to be relaxing g. Main road couldn't be heard from our room which was nice. Easy to locate and get to. Reasonable amount of parking.

I love a Premier Inn stay - usually… but this little on in Southampton could definitely do with a spruce up. Ts not dirty at all, just a bit tired around the edges and showing it’s age. The staff were lovely and the breakfast, genuinely the best breakfast I’ve had at a Premier Inn anywhere. I told the chef the same thing whilst I was there and she seemed very hot and working hard as we were there an hour at least and she was then only one in the kitchen! Lovely lady, and obviously great at her job!I hope they spend some money to bring the rooms up to standard sometime soon.

Pretty much the same as Premier Inn everywhere,decent room, comfy bed and a good hot shower. This hotel had an added extra, the housekeeping staff left a packet of biscuits, nice touch. The only down side was the smokers of Jamaican woodbine outside the window. Not a great smell

Rooms very hot in July. No air conditioning - the heating controls made it very clear that they control heating only. Reception staff acknowledged the problem and provided chilled water at reception.Rooms comfortable apart from the heat. Room standards might vary, looking at other reviews, but ours were fine.Free wi-fi OK but not password protected.I had no bars on my EE phone for most of my visit. No phone or intercom in the rooms but there were intercoms in the hallways in case you got locked out and didn't fancy walking across the carpark in your pjs.Breakfast in associated Beefeater excellent - needed to book a table but management seemed relaxed and nobody checked our room numbers.We missed the recommendation to book a table at the Beefeater for an evening meal but staff in the Beefeater recommended going to the pub next door which proved to be excellent with a nice local pub atmosphere. From overheard comments, and other comments here, I think we did the right thing!

The young lady on reception Tuesday Night, Wednesday Morning, and we got to say goodbye to her in Thursday morning was so helpful. The first night we were put in one of their plus new suites. And helped secure us a room for the next night. It made our journey into becoming new grandparents that much more special, thank you.

Receptionist friendly and helpful. Room clean and comfortable. Nice to have coffee machine in room. Had dinner and breakfast in the Beefeater. Both were lovely. Staff friendly and efficient.

Brilliant all round. Conner at the front desk made sure that I had everything I need for my room. Did not hesitate to help when I asked for some more coffee pods.
