Absolutely useless, trying to get a phone consultation is harder than a game of Jumanji

If i could give it a zero, i would. Between phones that are constantly engaged, repeat prescriptions for insulin and other life saving medications missed"

receptionists are unempathetic, unresponsive, and just rude. they do not try to understand patients at all. if you dont care about other people, don't work in a place that sees you interacting with vulnerable and sick people who are going through a hard time. absolutely the last thing anyone needs. doctors are good when you can get through to them, but this practise has some of the worst policies post covid that i have seen in a gp practise.

From 2020 it has got extremely hard to even speak to a receptionist never mind a doctor, the receptionists are very ignorant and sound really stressed, they need to understand it's not my fault that I am sick! I work 6 days a week not like them!!! and I have to try and call in between doing my job just to get a repeat prescription or speak to the doctor which is almost impossible to do in a 15-minute t-break, four or five times now I have phoned over 600 times in one day with still no response.

I can't fault the doctors here. They've always been very helpful and take the time to listen. But the receptionists are rude, difficult and abrasive. I've often thought about moving GP because of this, but I'm worried it'll just be the same elsewhere. An example of why I find the experience so frustrating: You have to wait until the GP is open to order a prescription through their automated service. It's an answering machine, it should be a 24 hour service. No one should have to redial so often to try and order a repeat of something. This also means people ringing for prescriptions are clogging up the line for people who actually need to speak to a doctor! The last time my wife rang, she had to redial 300 times to finally get through to someone someone on reception. We don't appreciate reception staff acting as triages, asking us numerous questions that only a doctor should ask.

The doctors are great when you can get to see them. The issue is getting to speak with or see anyone.Anyone dealing with mental issues will struggle tremendously trying to get help as you have to phone constantly early in the morning and are faced with constant engaged tones and when you do get through you might not even get an appointment.I've been using this health center since I was a baby when doctor Gould was in the center and since then getting help has dropped dramatically. This is not a knock on the Doctors as I said they are great but getting access to the help you need can be almost impossible some days.Bare in mind most of my calls are to request medication that only the doctor can give meaning the call will be over in a couple of minutes.

Where do I start about this diabolical practice?! I've been with this practice from a child. Safe to say the phone service is beyond horrendous! The receptionists are severely incompetent and rude. Everytime I phone, it's no word of a lie, nearly 500 times on redial!!! By the end of it, you still might not of got speaking to anybody!! I have a mental illness, and having to do this everytime I need to speak to a doctor is a major trigger. I don't like having to discuss what I'm phoning for with a receptionist either. Quite frankly, it's none of their business! They are not doctors, so I don't wish to indulge my private health concerns to them. What makes it worse is that they ask numerous questions and not just one. Their overall attitude is horrific, not one ounce of empathy. If you request to speak to a particular doctor, that's another problem. I like to speak to the same doctor everytime, which is Dr Doran(pleasant/helpful Doctor). Due to my mental illness, I am not good at speaking to a different doctor everytime. To be honest, I could go on and on.....Lastly, I would give this surgery zero if I could.

Honestly appalled by the receptionists in here. I've had problem after problem with them. Thinking they own the practice telling you whether it is urgent or not. At the end of the day I tried phoning last month during my period to get an appointment - I couldn't. So I phoned again this month. Friday - no answer. Yesterday - no answer. Phoned again today to be answered told there's no routine and I said to her that's why I've phoned the urgent line. Told her I'm having severe changes in my period they are a lot lighter BUT they are extremely painful I'm having to take cocodomal to take the edge off. She said 'you'll need to phone back a change in your period isn't urgent' I said in a normal tone 'Right so womens problems don't matter?' Her reply was unbelievable! 'Excuse me I'm a woman myself snd you're being extremely rude!' I told her no I'm not being rude I'm just stating what it feels like you are being rude and I won't be spoke to like that the doctor won't see you for a change in your period' so I then told her a few facts. Firstly the last time I had pains like this I had pre cancer cells
