Very disappointed with the attitude of lady that served me today. £26 just to have a prescription printed of, won't buy it from them as there prices are 10 x online.

As a first time dog mum, the staff were so friendly and put me at ease with any worries, concerns or questions. Definitely recommend x

Having recently moved into the local area we had to find a vets for our beloved Nelson…The practice was welcoming and efficient in getting us an appointment sorted asap.We saw Vet Mary, she was lovely natured, clear in her treatment plan and explained things well.Definitely recommend.

This surgery was recommended to us by a neighbor whose dog is registered there. We have been a few times and I have always found the staff to be friendly and helpful. The vets tell you clearly what the treatment options are and what the likely costs will be, so there are no hidden surprises. Out of hours helpline on Sunday has been helpful, too. There's plenty of free parking in Tutbury, including some spaces on the road outside the surgery, so it's easy for me if I'm taking the dog on my own or picking up some medicine. I would definitely recommend.

We've been using Glenthorne's vets for over 15 years now and have always received the most fantastic service. Highly experienced staff who are both skilled and caring in equal measure. Would never take our pets anywhere else.

Today we said goodbye to our beloved Labrador Poppy. Thanks Jo and Tracey - you were kind, compassionate and empathetic and made a tough day that much easier. Thank you Glenthorne (especially Mary) for looking after Poppy for her 14.5 years so very well. This photo was taken on Wednesday!

My cats were seen on time, I had to leave them in the reception area after treatment because I had trouble parking nearby.The receptionist kept an eye on them and nothing was too much trouble.The vet was friendly, caring and explained everything.All the staff there are just so kind and caring. I wouldn't take my cats anywhere else.

Can’t recommend enough. We are continuously impressed by these vets and staff whenever we visit but special mention to Kelly, Rob, Kingsley and Tracy (and any others who were involved in the care of our young bulldog Nora following her recent surgery for Pyometra) who went above and beyond in looking after Nora.We telephoned Glenthorne late in the afternoon just as they were about to close for staff training. Kelly took details and was concerned that Nora may have Pyometra and needed to see a vet ASAP. Although the practice was closed and we were trying to make contact with the emergency vet, Kelly stayed behind and arranged for Rob the vet to call us. Rob waited at the practice and saw Nora. He was extremely patient and thorough and we can’t thank him enough for this. Nora was diagnosed with Pyometra and was operated on by Kingsley the following morning who was also excellent and very informative. We saw Tracy for a follow up who went the extra mile to look after Nora by finding some food which she would eat.As a family we have all 4 of our dogs registered at Glenthorne, we moved back to Glenthorne a few years ago having only left due to distance in the first place but despite having vets on our doorstep in Derby we would much sooner travel to Glenthorne knowing our dogs consistently receive brilliant care by the vets, nurses and reception staff.
