The Brook

I wouldn't Skippinish this venue if I was in town for another gig(The venue was lovely and the band is named Skippinish. My father tells me I'm hilarious - a shame he's never gotten to experience The Brook)

This is a superb venue. Southamptons premier music venue for live bands. A real Gem. We've been here a couple of times and its brilliant quick service and friendly staff. We saw the excellent Secret Affair and the equally superb Squire.

Fantastic venue for music, excellent sound and atmosphere. Love it there!!!

First time Visiting. Went to see the Foo forgers last night. Couple of things stopping it being the perfect night.First off we sat upstairs on the balcony. I need to sit as have a knee injury. We sat on the corner at the front of the balcony. But we had a group of loud people stood right behind us. They where so close they kept spilling drinks on me and bumping into me when they where dancing.Second of all, the ladies toilets upstairs. 2 of them where blocked so when you flushed the basin would fill with water and I was worried it was going to spill over.Thirdly. What is the deal with the drinks. My mate was going to the bar as I can't stand for long due to my knee. But everytime he came back he said the prices where different each time. The first time he went to get a double wiskey and lemonade and a coke and it came to just under £8 (which was really reasonable) Then the next time he got the same round it came to £11.10??? And then later it was £10.40?And last of all. The warm up act before the Foo Forgers came on where brilliant. Not hitting every note but over all really good and a great vibe. The Foo Forgers where good. The band was amazing but the singer left something to be desired. Not sure I would see that specific tribute band again.But over all a good night. Plenty of free parking in the industrial estate next door (I wasn't drinking so drove). Tickets where easy to show on my phone and they scanned them. It was quite busy in the end so if you want a seat get there early! Over all a real mix of people in there old and young. A nice atmosphere over all. Staff seemed friendly enough and the bar staff collected drinks quick so no tiny tables filled with empty glasses. Would go again.

I went to The Brook for a wedding reception, it was amazing! The Linkin Park tribute band playing were great performers. The staff were very friendly and there was a good amount of seating available. You could also get free earbuds from both bars if the band is too loud.

Another amazing experience at The Brook, this time to see the glorious Passenger. The venue never fails to impress, and it was an amazing location for such a stunning performance. Thank you to both Vinilo and The Brook for putting it on.

Great gig - Still Moving DJs and Cut Capers. Nice local venue and well run.

Went to see Hayseed Dixie and the venue is fantastic. Easy to park & get in. Bar service was acceptable given how busy it was and toilets clean. No matter where you stand there is a clear view of the stage and acoustics were perfect for the gig.

Fella in the box office went above and beyond to help get me two returned tickets for the Starsailor gig.So helpful and nothing was too much trouble.All the staff here are great. Love this venue.

Friendly security and bar staff friendly and a brilliant demeanor (had an issue with a beer and they kindly swapped it for me) and general great atmosphere in the venue. Lovely to visit this venue! In for starsailor. Will be back
