Lovely walk right in the centre of town. Looks great and is very peaceful day or night. Can she ducks swimming in the river and on the banks.

Was totally unaware that this place was a free to all civic amenity but would have happily paid a nominal fee to enjoy this green oasis in the middle of a busy town!!A place of relative peace & tranquility amid the hubbub of daily life. There were a few alchies around nursing their bottles of cheap gut-rot cider and nasty tasting beer, but they're to be found in any civic amenity in this day & age sadly. Don't be put off by this because, on a fine day, the well-being this place imparts more than outweighs the local pond life!!

Lovely gardens by the small river. Lots of benches to sit and rest. Take your packed lunch. Sit amongst Lovely roses and salvias. Good place to spend an hour. Opposite the main shopping centre. Look for jennies cafe under arch then cross the road. I went in Greg's for sausage roll. Very nice . Enjoy.
