Really awful customer service. I have previously used Scrivens for eye tests and bought glasses! ...subsequently received very very poor customer service and felt like they were perfectly happy lying to my face in order to try and squeeze extra money out of me. Unscrupulous, money grabbing sheisters!!AVOID AT ALL COSTS !!!

Customer service is great. Staff were friendly and the optician actually discussed my eye health and gave my a copy of my prescription which I could never get from specsavers.The price was way more than I was expecting even with picking the cheaper frames. Thinning is charged per lens and sure makes the cost steep!

I recently visited Scrivens Opticians for an eye test and new frames, expecting a positive experience as an NHS client. However, I was extremely disappointed with the service I received and the misleading information provided to me.Firstly, when I booked my appointment in person, I was clearly told that as an NHS client, the frames would be free of charge from the selection available. I was excited about this offer, as it would have been a significant saving for me. However, upon arriving for my eye test, I was shocked to learn that I would be charged for the frames. When I questioned this, the staff seemed unapologetic and unhelpful, leaving me feeling frustrated and deceived.Moreover, the overall service I received during my visit was far from satisfactory. The optician seemed rushed and disinterested in providing thorough care. They did not take the time to explain the procedures or answer my questions adequately. I felt like just another customer to them, rather than someone seeking professional eye care.Additionally, the atmosphere in the store was chaotic, with staff members appearing overwhelmed and disorganized. The waiting time was excessively long, despite having made an appointment in advance. It was evident that the establishment lacked the necessary staff and resources to handle the number of clients efficiently.In light of these disappointing experiences, I cannot recommend Scrivens Opticians to others. The misleading information about the frames' cost and the subpar service I received are indicative of a lack of professionalism and integrity. I believe it's essential for businesses to be transparent and provide quality service, especially when it comes to matters as important as eye care. The information displayed on their widow is also misleading.I hope that Scrivens Opticians takes this feedback seriously and takes steps to improve their customer service and communication. Until then, I will be seeking eye care services elsewhere, and I urge others to do the same. Disappointing Service and Misleading Information

Busy little place!!At 73 years of age, I first just wanted to choose frames, (ask questions; Prices, help with choosing suitable frames for my eyes, and what compliments my face, second computer use pair, etc, etc).That's 'all' I needed to know until I choose a date to test my eyes.The lady was 'extremely' helpful in all my needs.Thanks very much, I will be returning soon for my tests.
