We have used OH to service our air source heating system for several years. They are professional and incredibly knowledgable about the system - much more so than the builders who installed it in our new house.We have had problems with the system, and OH always respond quickly - even getting an engineer out to us when everyone else was finishing for Christmas. Would highly recommend and would not use anyone else.

We live in a small semi-detached property built in the late 1950s. I'd been wanting to ditch gas central heating for a long time, but was nervous about getting an air source heat pump due to dire warnings from the various plumbers and heating engineers who'd been keeping our old system just about functioning for the past few years. Last winter's high gas prices, cold weather, and leaks from our downstairs radiators finally spurred me into action and I contacted Orangehouse Renewables to find out if an ASHP could work for us.Alex visited us in the spring and was able to reassure us that our property was suitable for an ASHP, and was able to design a suitable system for us with very little need for us to try to understand the technicalities. The installation was carried out in June, and even though it involved the removal of our existing back boiler and header tank, and replacing the hot water cylinder and all our old radiators (which would have had to be changed anyway), the Orangehouse team was able to carry out the work with minimal disruption to our daily routine and with very little mess, with the team always helpful and willing to work to fit in with our domestic schedule as far as possible. The heat pump has been mounted on the side of our house, well above head height, so it's out of the way, and it's also very quiet, contrary to some of the warnings I'd received. Internally the system is also much quieter than our old one, and the removal of the header tank, which had managed to leak due to a faulty ball-valve on at least three occasions in the last fifteen years is a big plus too.The installation didn't quite go without hitches. It turned out that even though our house had been completely rewired only ten years ago we needed to replace the electric consumer unit, and initially the new hot water system was overheating the water due to an incorrectly positioned sensor. But both these problems were sorted out by the Orangehouse team very quickly and the system has now been working perfectly for almost six months. I've waited until now to write a review because I wanted to see how the system would cope with cold weather, and I'm happy to report that all the warnings that we'd have lukewarm hot water and a cold house have proved to be completely groundless.It's certainly the case that we're using more electricity than before when the heating is needed, but after switching to the Cosy Octopus" tariff and getting rid of our gas supply altogether

I found OH 3 years ago after the original installers developed a 'couldn't care less' attitude. On the first visit the engineer showed me how to run the Heat Pump underfloor heating and upper floor radiator system more efficiently and on each subsequent visit has suggested additional tweaks to reduce my heating costs. Very happy with OH and have recommended them to friends.

We chose Orangehouse to replace our night storage heaters with a Nibe ASHP, water cylinder and radiators. Install took two weeks and the team worked efficiently and tidily to provide a perfectly functioning system, meeting the exact requirements we asked for. At the end of each day, the team cleared up and you wouldn't have known anyone had even been there.From start to finish, Orangehouse have been excellent, with friendly and quick communication and excellent work. It's been five months and we've had no issues whatsoever.

When I decided to go for an ASHP I was given a list of installation engineers, but it was Orangehouse that was most recommended. I went with them, (even though they weren't the nearest), and from day one I can only say I had a great service. From the office staff, (very nice they are), to the surveyor, (a nice man with a clipboard), to the engineers, (very nice they are too), they started and completed installation in the times first given. They also followed up to make sure that I was happy with the work they had done. In fact they are obsessed with making sure I am happy, and I really am. Not only am I very happy with the service, but the heating system is actually life changing. I love it and would recommend it.One of the things that really stood out for me was the way the workings of the system was explained to me. I know nothing about these things, and there were some questions I asked over and over again, until I got it. But they took the time to answer any question I had, at any time.I'm actually trying to think of a fault I found with Orangehouse, but............nothing.So, here's two recommendations people.1. Get a heat pump. It really makes sense environmentally and economically.2. Get Orangehouse to install it. They turn up. They get it done. And you'll make new friends dedicated to keeping you nice and warm.

Just had the first annual service - great job by the engineer (Oz). He reviewed all the setting and gave great advice to ensure we run it as economically as possible. Really impressed, top notch service.

Great experience with OH. Everyone on the team was friendly and knowledgeable, including the drillers who were subcontractors. This was quite a big project but you can now barely see they have been here. The ground source system is practically silent and a big improvement on our old oil boiler. We will continue to work with them to fine tune our underfloor system. Definitely highly recommended.
