We dined at chit and chaat Owen Street the second week after it opened and I was very disappointed with our experience. After visiting the Rusholme branch a few times and loving it, my husband and I were so excited that this branch was opening in our neighbourhood. We immediately made a booking and invited our couple friends along too! The booking was made by the owner/manager and when we arrived they said they weren't honouring bookings and we waited for our table. We were pressured to order soon and our food arrived quickly too. As soon as we finished a small plated the wait staff would immediately bounce on the table and clear it. We could not even complete a conversation before would rudely interrupt us to clear the table or give us the bill. They gave us the bill as soon as they could and ushered us out. I understand that they are busy but this is not how you treat customers. They left us with a bad experience and poor memory for this small chain restaurant. We will not be rushing back anytime soon and will not recommend to any of our families and friends. The food was very average and the dosa was terrible!A very rude dining experience

Visited here with friends as it’s recently opened. Food was great, staff were friendly, only downside is it can feel a little cramped if you are seated on the right side as you go in. Will be returning!

I went in with my girls, it's a beautiful location, and the food flavours are just amazing. You can ask them to make it to your taste too.Quality of food was great too and so was the presentation

Decent restaurant with extremely slow service but i hope the service will get better it was only their second day of operations. The food is amazing but the portion sizes are controlled and cannot be shared if you are visiting with a group of friends.

We had an absolutely amazing dining experience at this restaurant! The Chilli Paneer was a delightful balance of spice and flavor, the Masala Idli was a unique and delicious twist on a classic dish, and the Hara Bhara Kebab was incredibly fresh and flavorful. The Samosa Chaat was a burst of savory goodness, and the Lachha Paratha was perfectly flaky. To top it all off, the Dal Makhni was rich and creamy. The combination of these dishes made for a memorable meal that we would highly recommend. The service was also excellent, and the ambiance added to the overall enjoyment of the evening. We can't wait to return to check out the desert menu. Glad they are now closer to city centre.

Bombay Chowpatty beach meets Udipi cooking and has Indian Chinese join them for lunch and dinner.If this makes sense, then you know you’re in for a good time.Expect substantial chaats, paper thin dosas and fluffy idli’s worth coming all the way from Alderley Edge.Yes, they have a branch in Cheadle but you weren’t headed that way.Once is a coincidence, twice is intentional. Could it be that Chit’n Chaat are the nemesis to Indian Tiffin Room? Only time will tell.

We visited in the opening week, there my review is based on this.We absolutely loved the food! I would highly recommend them so loved everything we ordered!!!Service was a little slow, but the owner did come over to explain that they are slower because it was busy because of the opening week. I’d give five star for his kindness and attention to us.Atmosphere was great. Again a little busy and noisy but loved the Bollywood music playing in the background.Overall a really love experience and would definitely go again!!!

The food at this place has truly won my heart with its authentic Indian street food, especially the South Indian delicacies! The perfect blend of spices and heat adds to the experience. The top-notch service, marked by the humility and helpfulness of everyone, deserves full credit. While the food is amazing (60%), the outstanding service completes the experience, earning my full vote.

This is a gem of a place. I visited the Manchester Deansgate venue. Food was amazing. Staff were also great. I would definitely recommend the Lamb chops for starters and Lamb Karahi for mains
