Veteran Gas & Plumbing

We returned from a few days away to find out we had no heating or hot water. It was after 6 last Friday and ours usual supplier was not back until Monday so left a message. Phoned again on Monday and the answer message said no appointments for a week. Eek!!Called Barney at around 10ish, he said he could come later in the day. He did, he was punctual and he not only fixed it he explained what the problem was.Excellent service. Will be going to him in future. Thanks Barney.

After years of shoddy workmanship, being overcharged, no shows etc I discovered Barney of Veteran Gas. I highly recommend him. He always arrives on time, is clean, incredibly polite, knowledgeable and offers an outstanding service, is an excellent worker and his bills come in on budget. Can’t get better in my opinion.

After buying my first home I had to completely renovate it before moving in but there was a fair bit of plumbing work that needed doing first. I encountered so many issues with other plumbers which delayed the project and caused me a lot of stress. Thankfully I found Barney ​and he resolved all my problems quickly, calmly and progressionally. 5* service all around and I simply wouldn't consider using anyone else in the future for any of my plumbing jobs. Reliable and professional service. Barney arrived on time, explained what needed to be done and got on with the job. We are very satisfied customers and could not recommend more strongly. A polite approach and work completed at a very reasonable cost.

Bad experience using this guys services, I called him out as my hot water was running cold but my radiators was still working, he said I needed a diverter valve, thinking he knew what he was doing I agreed and he put a new one in, he then put up my water pressure and said my plate heat exchanger was blocked and left us a few days without any hot water or radiators working. He then got the part put it in while I was at work and didn’t contact me for a few days, sending a bill of 450£ , my family are worse off now as there is no hot water or radiators working and my boiler is leaking. I’m not sure he had the knowledge to do this job and feel robbed.
