Portland Care, Wood Hill Lodge

And I'll own up publically now and say yes it was me that notified the CQC of the situation at Woodhill Lodge. I was a resident there for eight months this year. During my time there I documented my lack of care and how the staff were with me. in the end, I felt I had no choice but to inform CQC of my concerns. As a result, they did an unannounced inspection in August which the home failed. I then ended up in the northern general ( where I still am) safeguarding which has now thankfully blocked my move back to Woodhall. Then I read yesterday that the home failed a further targeted inspection in Oct. obviously not taken on board anything said in the CQC report from August. awful place to live. The few carers who actually cared ended up getting overwhelmed and disillusioned and left. The place either needs to shut down or be taken over by a completely new management team

A wonderful place! The Manager and her staff team are very kind, caring, and compassionate nothing is too much trouble. The indoor bar is lovely with the most fantastic views of Sheffield! This place has definitely got a home from home feel. I would definitely recommend to anyone.
