I want to say a huge thank you for caring for my Nan right up to the end of her life. The staff were lovely and couldn’t do enough.No where is perfect but when there was concerns, I spoke to Paul the manager and he was right on it. One occasion, there wasn’t many, after speaking to Paul he went straight away to speak personally to my Nan to see what her worries where and even spoke to the staff to take care with spoons when feeding her as a spoon had hurt the inside of her mouth but they went further, they went out and bought plastic spoons!! I also know he spoke to her in kind and caring way as, unbeknown to him, my Aunty came into Alexa video call and heard him talking to her with great respect. That made us realise this home was a good one!So well done to one and all for looking after my beautiful Nan, Anne Valentine a true lady who we miss terribly aged 98 years of age. Do not send your loved ones to this place.My mum was sent here from hospital in 2021.They starved her near to death. The food is absolutely disgusting they gave my mum blended food you would not give a child. My mum cried when they brought her food. My mum was starved till she fell & broke her hip & ended up back in hospital. She was starved until she weighed 5 stone from over 8 stone. Management didn't do anything to sort these problems. They left mum in agony with no pain relief for over five weeks, mum had two fractures in her spine. I have had an ongoing complaint with BUPA for over 11 months. Funny they keep giving me the excuse that covid is hampering investigations.Mum's clothes went missing. They put a back brace on mum that shouldn't have been put on mum. Terrible place do not send your loved ones there, you cannot trust them to look after them. I cannot tell you enough at how horrific this place is

I dont have enough superlatives to describe the staff at Woodend Nursing home. My father enjoyed care and treatment by what I can only described as “the best of people”. The attention to detail to his nursing and mental health needs and the constant protection of his dignity was inspirational. This week I have witnessed first hand real team work. Clearly nursing staff and tireless health care assistants are the most visible but the work and kindness of the catering,cleaning and laundery staff are pivotal to Woodends success. Any encounter with their administrative staff has always been helpful and efficient.
