Blue Peter Garden
If you have fond memories of Blue Peter as a child you'll understand how easy it is to become nostalgic as you step into this piece of television history. As well as the fish pond and the bust of Petra standing over her 'family' you'll notice the sense of piece and tranquillity it provides in what is a busy media environment. Though not a gardener the shrubs are beautiful. The garden is lit up at night enabling you to see the hand, feet and paw prints of presenters and pets past and present. To me it's a guilty pleasure to visit it .it provides a place to reflect and remember your blue peter days no matter who your presenters were. Beyond is the newly created walk of fame comprising of ex presenters, iconic sports men and women and Mary Berry!I think we are lucky to have this piece of memorabilia long since out of bounds to the public whilst housed at the old BBC Centre in Sheperds Bush.Well worth a visit no matter what your age. I wholly recommend it!

Although it is a small park. It is a relaxing park with different plants in different seasons. It’s near MediaCityUK station of Metrolink. People can be relaxed here when they are waiting the tram. There are many restaurants nearby. People can take away their meal and enjoy the meal in the park. Also, there is a planting area for specific people to enjoy planting.

Perfectly positioned green area, next to the MediaCityUK tram stop and easily accessible from Quayside, a lovely pleasant trip down memory lane for a few minutes. Suitable for all ages. Wheelchair and pram accessible. Some seats nearby. No public toilet, although there are plenty of eateries adjacent which presumably do have toilets available for customers.

Looked quite neglected today on this rainy day in Salford. I appreciate that it is good this can now actually be seen by the public which is much better than when it was hidden away in London, just needs a bit of TLC.

Was a pleasant surprise to see this on my visit to the Coronation Street tour. I’ve been a fan of Blue Peter from a young age & never expected to come across this at Media City.A great thing for fans of the show both old and new so be sure to check it out!

Just next to MediaCityUK Metrolink station. You can see beautiful Prunus avium 'Plena' during mid-April.

I visited the garden today whilst wallking around the Quays and was a little disappointed at its size as I always imagined it to be much larger. The whole area was a little neglected, dead plants were visible everywhere and the focal point pond was full of rotten vegetation and debris such as sweet wrappers and cigarette ends. Seasonal plants were not very visible much to my surprise as I expected a micro Kew Gardens. The saddest thing though was a decomposing goldfish which had been dead quite awhile by its outward appearance, being nibbled upon by his peers although I appreciate to an extent that this was nature reclaiming its own. Very disappointed. The garden needs some TLC.

Really cool and fun thing to do at MediaCity - especially since it's free as well. So a great one for the sight seeing or tourist list. It's kept gorgeous and has some lovely memorial statues of the Blue Peter pets. Great to see and be part of. Sometimes you will see filming around here too which is really cool. And you might even spot the odd celebrity since the BBC studios and ITV studios are right beside it.
