We approached Sam after having our first planning application refused. After a bruising previous experience, we were keen to hit the ground running. I sent out several enquiries to find an architect that was happy to use our existing drawings. Sam was one of the first to reply and from the start was very professional in his communications. He outlined the entire process and all associated costs from the very start.Sam is very friendly and approachable and took the time to listen to our brief and provide practical solutions while offering a wealth of knowledge and advice at every stage. All of my questions were answered in a timely and detailed manner via email or time was made for a phone call when appropriate. His time keeping is excellent and he managed to provide all deliverables within agreed timescales. He liaised with our planning officer directly to ensure a positive and timely decision was received. We now have received planning permission and are waiting for work to begin.Sam produced a very detailed tender package to ensure the quotes we received from a handful of selected builders was accurate and complete. He worked proactively during this stage, ensuring the builders had all the information they needed to provide an accurate quote within the agreed timescale. Since choosing our builder, Sam has been in communication with the builder to ensure all the information is available to begin work.Sam has been an absolute pleasure to work with throughout the entire process.I would not hesitate to use Sam again or recommend his services.Thankyou Sam, for all your hard work.

I chose Sam for three reasons. He was competitive, knowledgeable and a lovely man. He did an excellent Job drawing plans and getting us thru a very tricky planning process. He went above and beyond in dealing with the planners as the neighbours put up a huge fight to stop it. He made a fair few revisions to get the approval and in our opinion deserves a medal. Hope to work with him again one day. Superb from start to finish. A class act etc etc.

King Architecture and Design (Sam) created 3 options for us to choose the best that suited our needs. We purchased a 3 bedroom bungalow which had been empty for a few years and previously was tenanted. It needed a lot of work so we decided to appoint Sam after getting some costings from other design companies, Sam's was very competitive. To come up with ideas for our new / renovated home, Sam's first visit was a personal consultation to find out what we wanted to achieve, he asked about lifestyle and looked around the house as it was, we highlighted our requirements as open plan living, functional storage, a garage and multiple bathrooms as all our family visit regularly.On his second visit he came with three design options all with different elements, size finish etc. He also had 3d rendered images showing internal and external finishes. These were invaluable in us selecting our design and getting a true representation of what we would end up with.Sam completed the design and put it forward to planning keeping us informed from start to permission being granted.He then produced the detailed drawings for builders to quote and build to. We can't praise the service we had from King Architecture enough and without hesitation recommend his services to others.Sam has kept in touch throughout the build and offered advice when needed. His service didn't end when drawings were complete.

We needed an architect to design a rear extension of a terraced property. Sam was recommended to us by a friend and his service was fantastic.He was incredibly attentive and came up with a beautiful design which was just what we wanted. It was clear he had thought carefully about our needs from the house and budget and taken this into account.When we requested small changes in the design he went above and beyond to show us different options and made any alterations quickly.He also helped us plan a room which was not originally part of our contract and provided lots of CGI pictures of different designs for us to choose from.He also found a structural engineer to use, guided us through the planning process and made the whole process so much easier.The price of his service is very reasonable considering the work he puts into his projects. I would thoughoughly recommend him.

I would highly recommend Sam as an architect. He did the work on our extension and interior revamp and was really creative, helped us to get to a perfect design for us and guided us with excellently advice and support. He was so helpful all the time - we did various adjustments to the design and Sam was always happy to rework plans and chat about options. He is incredibly knowledgeable and could help with advice about planning permission , party wall issues as well as structural issues, drainage, etc etc. Sam’s also a really pleasant person, easy to work with and friendly as well as being professional. We would definitely use him again.

Sam was great to work with. He created some plans for me to knock down a wall and replace it with a glass wall. He also managed the process to submit the plans to the council and answer any questions. He was very professional, responsive and helpful. I would recommend him

Sam helped us to design a major refurbishment of a 1920 which was originally two cottages and then extended. Naturally, we kept changing our minds about things, but Sam was very patient and produced all the technical drawings. He was easily available when we had questions, and very easy to deal with, and we thought he offered good value. We would certainly recommend him.
