Ironbridge Fine Arts and Framing

We bought a Little Thumper press from Ironbridge and spent a fantastic morning with Jenny and the team, learning how to use it. A great experience all round that really gave us some great ideas for our prints, and a brilliant location too.

Just bought a press from Ironbridge Fine Art. Its my first press and I have experience of using an Albion and Star wheel press from the 1860's. I do wood engraving and etching and demonstrate these to visitors at Cherryburn the NT museum to Thomas Bewick. The Ironbridge press is an absolute dream to use, I printed a wood engraving, etching and woodcut and all came out perfect on their first print. It is beautifully made, intuitive to use, and inspires confidence. I can't wait to practise all the ideas I now have for multi media printing. Switching from wood engraving to etching with the use of wooden runners to raise and lower the press wheel is very quick and easy. A great choice therefore for anyone who wants to try intaglio and relief printing.I am absolutely delighted and the whole process of buying the press was supportive and helpful too. Its also extremely good value for money.

This is a real gem of a gallery displaying high quality contemporary artwork that is beautifully framed and exhibited. This experience is further enhanced by meeting Jenny (usually covered in printing inks) who not only runs and owns the gallery but is one of its best exhibitors. Her enthusiasm and sheer love of art is intoxicating, informative and welcoming. With a special reference to printmaking the gallery exhibits many beautiful etchings by a variety of artists but most notable are those by Dave Gunning and Jenny herself. The mechanics of the printing process are clearly on display with Jenny's studio/workshop visable from the gallery space and Dave Gunning printing presses within the gallery space itself. Having experienced Jenny's teaching skills first hand I can recommend booking one to one sessions with her to really understand and appreciate this beautiful medium for creating artwork.It is always a pleasure to drop in and see what's being exhibited and receive a lovely welcome from Jenny and her doggy.

Their customer service is absolutely faultless, they go above and beyond to ensure I am 100% happy and are always willing to spend time discussing my requirements in detail. They have provided invaluable advice and service when my images are enlarged for exhibitions and commissions, giving me peace of mind that I will still get superb quality even if my images are enlarged to an extreme size . Unexpected find just down the road from the Ironbridge. The staff are so friendly and the seletion of local art work was a pleasure to wander through. The use of the building is very neat and would highly recommend stoping in for a browse when in the area to check out the beautiful art.
