1. They recommended an unnecessary very expensive, not for the purpose lenses for a young child-Last year the optician highly recommended honeycomb style lenses for my daughter's glasses, which costs 500£ vs. almost 0 for normal lenses. They're for reducing chances of the number increasing.We went for another highly recommended and experienced optician this year. He said this kind of lenses should never be given for 1st time users, and can cause only discomfort by slight blurriness the add.2. On my examination they claimed they spotted an unusual finding in one of my eyes, and that they'll come back to me after consulting dinner colleagues. I was never contacted by them again since.

I am more than satisfied with my son’s myopia control result. Last year, we tried ortho-k lenses in a local optometrist and it didn’t succeed. Then I found Central vision optician in London and after wearing ortho-k for a year, his vision is still very stable. Highly recommended to anyone who is thinking of having myopia control for their children.

I popped in with a minor, but urgent eye issue after a mishap with a contact lens. The receptionist was so helpful and I was seen within the hour. The optician was absolutely lovely and took great care of me. Thank you for the help!

Professional opticians. We are happy with our daughter's myopia control result. But the reception is rude and impatient. My daughter was scared yesterday and I didn't want to argue with the reception in clinic to scare her second time. A dyslexia assessor suggested that we take my daughter (age 11) to see Bhavin Shah, as some of her dyslexia traits seemed to be the result of visual difficulties with focusing.We saw Bhavin first for a detailed assessment visit and have since been back for monthly follow ups, with my daughter being set different exercises each time to target particular aspects of her visual issues. At the end of the process, her visual issues have improved considerably and we have a much better understanding of what challenges were the result of dyslexia and which were to do with binocular vision etc.The team at Central Vision Opticians are very helpful and the whole experience with Bhavin has been a very positive one. I feel very fortunate that we were recommended to him.

Visiting Bhavin at Central Vision Opticians was a completely new experience for me. I had always been to high street opticians and to be honest could never really understand why people would go to independent chains. Visiting Central Vision Opticians, opened my eyes to the fact I was wrong.Bhavin was extremely patient with my kids, and spent time getting to know us as a family and to understand all our concerns. He clearly cares about delivering a professional and friendly service and be able to explain the procedures and steps in easy to understand terms. He also went through the process of wearing contact lenses step by step to put us and the children at ease. He was very patient with them during the process which meant that everything went very smoothly.The visual assessment for examining the kids' myopia was much more extensive than I’ve ever seen before. He checked the length of their eye which is a crucial measure of the risks of myopia and told us why this measurement would be useful in measuring the effectiveness of treatment. He also investigated how their eyes were focusing and working together to build up a picture of the factors that may be contributing to their myopia and how quickly it is deteriorating.A great example of the different approach Bhavin offered, ultimately requiring more time to deliver a more in depth eye exam, was that Bhavin identified a problem with Lily’s eyes that was giving her double vision. He then gave us some exercises to help. Amazingly, despite numerous previous optician appointments, no one had ever noticed this, despite Lily having mentioned a couple of times the side-effects related to the condition.I would highly recommend Bhavin.

Oh, how lovely it was to see the independent shop still around and to be treated as a person and with care and not simply a member of the heard it is with the corporates regardless of what profession, and it always gets as many as you can in and generates revenue, well NOT HERE!!!There was something else, and from the moment I walked into the shop and was greeted by Sally and then met my optician Lavina, I can only say they were both so professional, polite, helpful, but most importantly, listened to what I was saying and got to know me to match my needs.I got the personal service, care and attention blown away, and I could only be so happy these wonderful people had come into my life.Lavina was so good that after being in pain for so long and being told there was no problem, there was, and I needed to replace my lenses. Before, no one had bothered and just patted me on the head. Off I went to stay in pain.When Lavina spoke, it was so factual re her knowledge that I felt I was at college again and wanted to take notes. Despite never meeting before, she and the colleagues I mentioned earlier were so friendly and approachable.Thankfully the advice I got precisely steered me, and I was not sold a load of extras I thought/was talked into and did not need; here, it was all about service, and as my lenses did need changing, I did, but best move ever to Come here.WELL DONE!
