If I could give Divine Ceremony six stars I would. If you find yourself in the horrible position of having to organise a funeral their service is quite perfect from beginning to end. They are kind, supportive and genuinely caring, and go out of their way to organise something which is really personal and reflects the wishes and personality of the person you have lost. I can't thank them enough.

Dee and Lorna have been genuine companions at a time of great distress and confusion. From the outset they offered reassurance, honesty and compassion that lifted a great burden from our shoulders and instigated a journey of veneration that felt totally natural and appropriate.I can't thank them enough for turning the tragic death of my wife into a celebration of her life in a way that absolutely matched her spiritual outlook. Weaving the willow coffin together was a tribute that I will cherish, as was the support and encouragement throughout the process. It culminated in a funeral that, in its perfect reflection of my wife's spirit, had a profound effect on everyone who attended. A beautiful farewell. I can't recommend Divine Ceremony enough. Thank you

I cannot recommend Dee at Divine Ceremony highly enough. It is a horrible thing to lose a loved one, and to find a kind and caring funeral director takes a huge weight off the responsibility of getting it right, not only for your loved one's funeral, but for your own grieving process. The Sanctuary where Dee is based is just that. My brother and I chatted through all our options taking all the time we needed. We were delighted that Dee offered eco friendly options such as the only electric hearse in Bristol! She is prompt at answering the phone and responding to questions. The care she and Lorna took of our Mum was so touching and personal and really helped me accept that my Mum was gone. If you choose Dee at Divine Ceremony for your funeral director, you will be in good hands. Ali.

Dee, Lorna and Tasha ran a brilliant workshop. We learnt how to care for those that are in the processes of dying, before being taken through the care of the body after death. Dee and Lorna have built an extremely special atmosphere at The Sanctuary. People and conversations are wonderfully held. Tasha’s kindness and wisdom was evident. The knowledge she shared has greatly shaped how I perceive the dying process. I am very grateful to all three, and the wonderful participants, for a brilliant and moving day.

We have no reservation in recommending Dee and her team at Divine Ceremony.I had attended two funerals of friends and was impressed by the sensitivity, care and thought Dee, and celebrant Karen Partridge gave to each. And so it was with our mum’s big day. She would have loved it. And we will fondly remember your compassionate help with smiles. Thank you.

This is to thank Divine Ceremony for their skilled arrangement and holding of the ceremony for our mum. We all felt that our wishes for her and for the event were valued and that when we only had blurred ideas of what we wanted, they gently guided us and shaped the occasion perfectly with their knowledge and with compassion. It was a wonderful way to celebrate mums life, to thank her for our part in it, and to wish her a joyous next stage

Having never had my Mum die before and not having organised a funeral either I approached the task with some trepidation until my wife suggested Divine Ceremony. My experience of funerals in the past consisted of solemn/grime faced men in black and held in cavernous warehouse like crematoria on the edge of town. Devine Ceremony provided a service that could not have been more different. Ours was a small, family only, non-religious celebration of my Mothers life. The Sanctuary provides the perfect setting for this kind of funeral. The Sanctuary room is beautifully and appropriately decorated and provided an intimate atmosphere on the day. The team that we met, Dee, Ruth and Bridget (sorry if have missed anyone out) could not have been friendlier, flexible, appropriately cheerful, helpful and empathetic. They listened and provide guidance and information as necessary. They guided me through all the paperwork. There was great attention to detail, they looked after Mum very well and with respect through all the stages at a difficult time for all of us. The team at Mums Home were very impressed with the care provided by the team when she was collected for her journey to the Sanctuary. The teams experience was evident, they were always polite and courteous, nothing was too much trouble. Dee provide us with a large selection of poems from which members of the family could choose and add their own.The Sanctuary was arranged as we requested with appropriate advice and suggestions and accommodated three large photo boards detailing Mums life. Dee as celebrant, after a long talk with my brother myself, expertly summarised my Mother’s life with grace and dignity. Music during the ceremony was provided exactly as requested and food/refreshments organised for once the ceremony was complete. The whole affair was very relaxed, appropriate and dignified, we never felt rushed.Because of all of the above I now remember Mums funeral with affection and know she would have felt the same and I felt good and at ease when I had to return to the Sanctuary to pick up Mums ashes. So thank you for providing a ceremony for my Mother and her family that I will always remember fondly.Chris.

Me and my daughters will be forever grateful we met Dee and crew when my darling husband passed away.Previous experiences for us of loss and the institutions that surround it were dark and masculine and cold. Devine Ceremony completely turned the assumption, that’s what death has to feel like, on its head.Dee and her team are warm and caring and empathic. They offered us options and never pushed us into spending more money or doing things in a way that didn’t suit us. They totally changed our expectations and experience of loss and for that we are so grateful. They cared so well for my wonderful husband while he was with them and for the world, using natural and sustainable methods for their work.Thank you Dee and team for all you did.Kath, Laura and Sarah

When my step father died it was a bit of a hurry to find the right funeral directors and there was a moment that we nearly went with someone else - just because someone knew someone that knew someone that had used them. However, a friend who is a Death Doula, reminded me of Divine Ceremony and I am so relieved that she did. From the moment De came to get my step father's body we knew that he was in good and we knew that we were too. We ended up having the ceremony at their sanctuary as well because we knew we could trust their sensitivity, judgement, values and professionalism. The death of a loved one is a tender and precious time. Divine Ceremony made it possible for us to plan and hold a beautiful ceremony whilst still in the midst of grieving. Thanks is not quite a big enough word.
