Happy Valley Venue & Glamping in Norfolk
We had our wedding celebration at Happy Valley in July 2023 and it was the best weekend of our lives. The happy memories will last us a lifetime. We truly believe that this is a magical place, you can feel the love that has been channelled into the site. From our first visit in November 2021, we knew this was the place we wanted to get married. The venue has everything you need and more for the perfect wedding! Our priorities were - a venue where our wedding party could stay on site, so we could spend as much time as possible with them, and a venue where we were surrounded by nature. Happy Valley gave us both of these in abundance. When you quietly walk around the site you can hear the trees gently creak as they sway in the wind, and it feels like they are offering blessings, it's pure wedding magic.Led by Katy, the staff are super kind and helpful, and communication is always clear and friendly. They have worked with many local suppliers and we really felt the sense of community that has been built here as a business. Marie at The Cattle Yard bar put together the perfect drinks package for us, complete with local wines & bespoke cocktails. All the bar staff were so lovely to all our guests and instantly understood the vibe of our day. Our coordinator Alex was super calm and friendly and was always on hand with encouragement and support. We noticed every single kind word and gesture from the Happy Valley staff and we will always be grateful. If we haven't made it clear enough already - this is the dream team you want on your wedding day.The venue has so many gorgeous spaces to chose from, both indoor and outdoor so you are covered whatever the weather. It looked like it might rain on our wedding day (it didn't in the end) but we can honestly say that wherever you have your ceremony on the Happy Valley site, there will be a beautiful backdrop. The accommodation is beautifully put together and it really felt like the best possible (luxury!) festival with our nearest and dearest. The time you are allowed on site is really generous, so we never felt rushed and we felt like we had plenty of time to settle in and then to clear up. Checking all our friends into their accommodation was so much fun! Whether we were having breakfast together in Keeper's Cabin or a post-disco hot tub at Toad Hall, the accommodation was a huge part of the magic of our wedding weekend spent at Happy Valley. If you are looking for a versatile wedding venue, full of magic and beauty, and run by the coolest, kindest people - look no further, this is it. This venue has stunning nature & can also host one hell of a party! Have your wedding at Happy Valley and the special memories will last a lifetime. A&R x

Booked this cabin for my partners birthday. Paid £370 for 2 nights, accom only. When we arrived, the cabin was absolutely freezing. We lit the fire straight away and put the radiators up to max. About an hour later we realised that there was a thermostat in the bedroom, telling us that it was 13 degrees (this was an hour after we had had the radiators on and a fire going). We were confused as to why there were no instructions on the heating. We attempted to get the wood fire hot tub going too as this was one of the main reasons for me choosing Happy Valley. We couldn’t get the water warm at all. I did receive a message a few days prior saying I could have had the hot tub pre lit for a charge of £40, I said this was a shame and the response was ‘we don’t make a profit out of this’. I’ve worked in Hospitality for many years and thought this was a strange reason to not go the extra mile. You don’t provide tea bags in the cabin to make a profit surely? We messaged our host on day 2, a gentleman came and helped light the hot tub with several tips on what to do. Unfortunately these weren’t printed anywhere inside the cabin. We were later informed that these were sent to us by email 3 days prior however there is no access to phone signal or Wi-Fi. Without any guidance on lighting the hot tub, we wasted half our logs. Again, if we wanted to use more there was a charge. We also let him know that a few rings on the hot tub weren’t working and that a light had gone out in the bathroom. With taking such a large damage deposit and the pas-agg messages everywhere including in the welcome pack and signs around the place I didn’t want to be charged for any of these faults.Check out/check in times are earlier and later than usual (4pm check in and 10am check out) and despite the 6 hour change over, we are still asked to strip beds, towels etc… I wouldn’t do this in a 5 star hotel.Written in the bathroom within the cabin, sent to me via email is a plea to rate Happy Valley 5 stars, there is a strange rating system printed in a photo frame propped up next to the toilet… The facilities are great (the cabin itself) but the service and the added extras are lacking big time. I’ve stayed in air bnb’s before where there has been a nice basket of bread, cookies, milk in the fridge etc… and these have cost us £80 a night! A damage deposit was taken but in terms of cleanliness felt as though we were treading on egg shells not wanting to mess anything up. A message on the hot tub read that if there were to be make up or hair gel reminisces in the hot tub we would be charged for cleaning. We expected the place to be spotless but found mould beginning to grow within the pans and the cobwebs on the ceiling. A lot of the communication and the instructions were regarding things you can’t do rather than what you can enjoy. I don’t feel as though we were looked after the best we could have and left feeling disappointed with our stay.My partner and I have stayed away many times. We messaged our hosts half way and also afterwards to express our disappointment but nothing was done in regards to a solution. Everything within the review above has been mentioned but I still managed to receive an automated survey about how important it was to rate 5 stars…

We stayed at Toad Hall for my partner's 40th birthday, and we honestly couldn't fault the place. It has a great mix of feeling like you're really away from everything, whilst still having very friendly and helpful people across the road at the site office if you need anything (and you're also still close to lots of places to eat etc.) The information pack they provide is particularly detailed - they think of everything- which means you don't need to!Toad Hall itself is beautiful. Huge double height window in front of the sofa that looks out onto unspoiled views of the Norfolk countryside. Beautifully decorated inside, with high quality furnishings. Spotlessly clean. So warm and cosy (we couldn't work out how it was so warm as there are no radiators downstairs, but we didn't touch the thermostat once and it never lost temperature our whole stay!)Great kitchen and facilities, comfy bed, and of course the main attraction is the sunken hot tub in on the decking outside. Already heated on our arrival by the team at Happy Valley (they do warn that it might not be warm enough on your first arriving, due to cleaning from the stay before) - it really is a treat to sit outside amongst the trees whilst in a warm bubbling hot tub.Katy, the main contact, was very responsive and helpful and friendly, and replied quickly to all my little queries and questions in the lead up.This is such a little hidden gem in the Norfolk countryside. You can see the effort that's been put into it. After seeing our photos on social media we've had so many friends and family ask where we stayed, as it really is a beautiful place!

Loved our stay at Toad Hall in Happy Valley - beautiful lodge with stunning surroundings and a fantastic hot tub. There are lovely walks around the local area. This little retreat was exactly what we needed. If you’re thinking of booking, do it! You won’t regret it. We will definitely be back!

We cannot recommend Happy Valley enough! We stayed at the king Nutkin & it was absolutely gorgeous. It’s in the perfect location. We enjoyed the lovely walks, explored local beaches and just simply enjoyed our little hut reading our books in the most idyllic setting. It was spotless, we were really pleased that we even had our own designated toilets & shower (which were also super clean). We can’t wait to return!! We tried the local tea shop and restaurants which were lovely... Overall we made some really gorgeous memories. 100% perfect for a mini getaway.

We enjoyed a wonderful 2 night stay at the woodpecker tree temple with our two boys. It was full of character, cosy and looking up at the stars in the wood fired hot tub was amazing. Our hosts were very welcoming and on hand for any queries we had. It had everything we needed to enjoy staying on site but we did venture out on recommendations to a fantastic pub called The Dabbling Duck and a day trip to Brancaster and Hunstanton. We’d definitely look at returning and trying some of the other accommodation they have on site with hot tubs.

Went for a couple of nights to relax, so glad we picked Happy Valley! We stayed in King Nutkin, it was the perfect size for 2 adults and had everything you could ask for. The setting was amazing and it was so nice to hear the wildlife first thing in the morning as well as at night. The toilet and sink block was a short walk away. I really liked how each cabin had their own bathroom, it made me feel a lot more at ease that I didn't have to share with anyone else! I would like to suggest that the toilets could be fitted with a pin system just to make sure no other cabins have access to the your bathroom. However, this isn't a necessity! My partner and I had a wonderful time and we are looking at booking here again!

We had our wedding at Happy Valley and I could NOT have asked for a better Venue/ team of people. The cabins are all clean and GORGEOUS, the grounds are beautifully kept. Their coordinator- Mercii Williams was hands down the sweetest, most attentive person I could have asked for- she went above and beyond and stepped in where one of our vendors fell short. Communication was frequent, pleasant and helpful. I could not recommend Happy Valley enough and I will 100% be returning to Toad Hall for many years to come.Thank you Happy Valley!

Full disclosure - we're wedding photographers. That however does mean we see a heap of wedding venues and have a good idea what makes for the best days out! Happy Valley has quickly become one of our favourites. If your vibe is outdoorsy and casual with a leaning into fun and a creative edge - Happy Valley is for you. Apart from a beautiful woodland location, lots of highly functional spaces (including solid options if the weather turns nasty) there's also some absolutely top banana glamping and woodland cabin accommodation for couple and guests. Thiselevates the place to a full weekend experience if you just want to concentrate your plans around family and friends being comfy and happy. Ah, of course, 'Happy Valley'. We get it, you will too.
