I'm sure the Calvert Trust do wonderful work but we parked in their car park to go for a walk around the reservoir and our car was broken into. Apparently this happen a lot (according to locals) but there were no warning notices in the car park. There was a notice saying how the money collected from car parking had helped the trust and that's great but the incident ruined our holiday. We couldn't leave the car anywhere with no back windscreen, we ended up travelling all the way to Exeter for a repair and a lot of things were stolen from the car including cards and driving licences. The police didn't want to know other than issuing a crime number. Walkers beware!! A simple notice warning of a problem would have made all the difference. Also. Warning notices about the blue green algae all around the reservoir would have been appreciated. We won't be going back.

Just back from the Halloween weekend. It was our first ever visit. I can not rate this place highly enough! We went as a party of 7 3 children and 4 adults, and stayed in a 3 bed appt. The place was immaculate and had everything u could need. Even though we were fully catered we still had a fridge, kettle and cooker if needed. It was a packed 2 days of activities and I need a holiday to recover :) Absolutely every member of staff were so friendly and helpful from reception to housekeeping, but I have to single out 2. Our instructor Sophie, who stayed remarkably calm and deserves a medal for all her help and encouragement. Secondly Jenny in the kitchen, she had the patience of a saint and cooked the most amazing meals. Especially the cakes!!! Now we have found you we will be back. Thankyou to everyone, you all do an amazing job. See u all again soon,Alfie, Jenna, Liam, Tamsin, Dean, Michele, and Janet xx

We cannot fault calvert Trust Exmoor for one of the best holidays ever with our disabled children ( all in their twenty’s/ wheelchair users ) !Nothing was too much trouble for any staff member from instructors, , kitchen / chef guys , cleaning staff ( the place was spotless!! ) reception staff , management , maintenance the list goes on …..the smiles from our kids said it all and would melt anyones hearts , abseiling in their wheelchairs , zipping through the air on the zip wire , playing games in a canoe on the water etc etc and quite hard to decide who had the best time , mothers / carers or the kids !!!!So lovely not to cook too and every dinner was gorgeous and they even housed my wine in their fridge !!!Thankyou to everyone at Calvert , memory making !! ❤️ See you very soon !!

Wow our Jersey RDA group’ve just returned from the most wonderful weekend at The Calvert Trust. From the moment of arrival, Friday 1st July’22 till to departure Monday 4th July ‘22 the children with a family member were made so welcome by the reception ladies with everything considered for their comfort. The facilities’re amazing with so many activities & entertainment provided. The chef & his team were also wonderful & couldn’t do enough to help meet the dietary needs for the children. Our children particularly enjoy pony/horse riding so that activity’s their specialty. The ponies/horses’re just so suitable for this occasion & beautifully looked after by Sophie & her marvellous team. Any problem/issue Sophie sorted immediately with so much professionalism for the child in question.Thank you very much for making our children feel special & so happy.Best wishesJane RDA coach (Jersey Channel Isles)

When I spent a week here on a school residential I enjoyed it so much I wish that I had never had to leave. The food was mind blowing and all the activities were extremely fun and easily enjoyable and all the staff were extremely fun to be with and very encouraging and even helped me finally get over my fear of high places involving ropes. Thank you to all the staff at Calvert Exmoor for making this the BEST residential I have ever been on and making me wish that I never had to leave.
