Were on holiday at Barnyard castle with our dog, my fault I had forgotten my dogs tablets for under active thyroid only needed a couple of tablets before we came home but they needed to see the dog, costing I don't no how much a lot.All they had to do was to phone our vets in Cambridge and we would have gladly paid for tablets. As it was we had to come home from our holiday 2 days early. So I can not mark you much of a score for that reason

Phoned the practice this morning at 8.15 as our dog Willow had an upset tummy which was grumbling terribly last night, as we are on holiday nearby, this was the closest vet practice, the receptionist was very pleasant and helpful and offered us an appointment for 9.15, Seonaid the vet was lovely, she checked Willows tummy, even with her stethoscope to determine her tummy was still cramping"

Castle Veterinary Surgeons - Barnard Castle
So sad to see Castle Vets has been sold out to a CVS group! I have been considering moving back to Barnard Castle or surrounding area for some time. However, a good vets is essential. As a pawrent of Romanian dogs, I would NEVER use A CVS vets. Your business scares me so much that I would rather live somewhere else, where I can be sure I can access good health care for my beloved dogs.

Brilliant vets. Our little cat had been off colour so we made an appointment. Because of covid we were asked to wait outside and phone in to let them know we were there. A lovely lady vet (masked) came out and asked us about our cat, then took her inside to examine her, while we waited outside. A short while later she returned and discussed our cat's needs with us, then brought her out to us. What a lovely, caring vet!

My border collie is a real skitty boy and hates even entering the building!!I get really stressed which doesn't help!The vet was so professional, took my dog to the nurse to help, I went back to the waiting room and waited.Frank came back looking shell shocked but it was all over for him very quickly!Very impressed
