Staff were amazing, food pricey for what it was. Good place especially if you are part of a large group or want to explore the area. I don't know enough about the area to compare price/value. But you can book in confidence you will at least enjoy your stay. Only personal negative is the real ale - not great, and I know my ales!

Good pub and atmosphere. It gets pretty busy on the weekends so I'd suggest booking, however walk-ins are welcomeNever had an issue with service. Staff are friendly and polite.It's even nicer in the summer when they have their outside bar open.Crakin place

Wonderful location, lovely gardens to sit & eat, drink with friends, family. Dog friendly even in rooms. Staff extremely friendly, helpful. Food great, prices reasonable. 5mins from Warminster. Function room to hire, they can do catering for party. Out family had lovely time here. Highly recommend a visit. Rooms are a little dated, tired but clean & well equipped.

One thing that truly stood out during my stay was the exceptional hospitality and friendliness of the staff, particularly Steve, the Landlord, and Megan, the barmaid.From the moment I arrived, Steve and Megan went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. They greeted me with warm smiles, genuine kindness, and a willingness to assist with anything I needed throughout my stay. Their customer service was exceptional, creating a pleasant and inviting atmosphere that made me feel right at home.My room at the George Inn hotel was another highlight of my stay. It was not only clean and well-maintained but also beautifully modern. The decor and amenities provided a comfortable and relaxing environment, making it easy for me to unwind after a long day of work. The attention to detail in the room's design truly added an extra touch of luxury that I greatly appreciated.Overall, my experience at the George Inn hotel and bar was exceptional. Myself, friends and their children turned up mid evening on a Sunday as a group of 10. The gentleman who seated us was really helpful and looked after us making sure we all were looked after. (Kids got colouring and crayons too!)We had a lovely meal & there was tons to choose from! If we were more local we would of joined in on their pub quiz which was just about to start.The pub is situated by a river which has ducks and it's a beautiful place. We drive by on the way back from a cheese festival every year and we always stop in on our way home. Would definitely recommend ☺️

Tasty lunch at The George today when visiting to meet up with friends.First class service from the staff especially Sally who was friendly, efficient & very welcoming on arrival. Our dog even had a christmas present, a bag of treats which went down well.

We can’t be more pleased with the welcome, Room and food.Henry and Amy really looked after us and made us feel so welcome. Nothing was too much trouble.The room has everything you want. Clean, modern and very comfortable and very reasonable.We had a fun Sunday evening after a delicious steak dinner with their quiz night.Thank you to you all. Bring the three sisters from Brixham Devon.

i was here on a business trip, i was attended to quickly after arriving, the room was very clean and modern. i had a drink with the landlord and locals and kindly welcomed like a regular. the bar staff were very polite and friendly. meals were lovely. the only downside was no sports channels on the bar tv. apart from that a great pub/hotel, i would stay again.

We stayed for 2 nights to visit Longleats festival of lights and had a fantastic stay.The rooms are lovely and the food is amazing (we had roasts on our first night - would highly recommend!)All Staff are friendly and are all excellent - big shout out to Sally, Amy, Liz & Steve for looking after us!We hope to be back soon

I arrived yesterday for one evening's stay at lunchtime yesterday (October 15th) The pub was very busy doing lunches, but that did not stop the staff taking the time to deal with my requirements in a calm and professional manner.I had Sunday lunch which was a trio of meats, and it was excellent to the point that I ended up in a food coma!! The pub was showing the Rugby World Cup Quarter finals which I watched, and I even participated in pub quiz that was held between the two matches.My room was wonderful. Warm, clean and everything you could ask for. Breakfast was also excellent with a large selection of cereals fruit, and cooked breakfast.A big thank you to Steve and all his staff for helping make a memorable day for me.
