Kemps Quay

Great place, very friendly family run Marina, lots of facilities on the Quay. Looking forward to moving our boat to our new mooring next week.

Great place for beginner and veteran boat owners. Everyone is welcoming and there is a sense of community from the start. Staff are knowledgeable and helpful.

Rudimentary facilities and customer services. not enough electricity supply for all the boats. Extremely rude and grumpy yardmaster sits in his stinky office watching westerns instead of maintaining or improving the yard/ facilities. Negligence and discriminatory behaviour seems the normal here. Most people who I spoke with keep boats there because of short supply of berths elsewhere and everyone agreed that with 110 years to invest in and refine their operations this shipyard" is ridiculous."

A quaint, back street marina that has a less modern feel to it than a lot of marinas, there is a sense of community on the pontoons, most boat owners know each other and there is a friendly atmosphere. The marina dries out a lot of the time so access is slightly limited and planning therefore is important.One small bar on site that is very pleasant, has some good beers and is reasonably priced.

Thoroughly recommend this marinaGreat value, friendly staff and management.The 'community' is also really friendly and helpful, a great place to have a boat and do work on it. Most tide access to outer couple of pontoons. Water on pontoons but no electrics.Good access from M27/M3, train station not far on foot.

Great Service even when you have special requests and are in need of assistance. Sarah and Alan are amazing people with a real get-it-done attitude. Great berths and reasonable pricing. Had my Achilles there for over a year and never regretted it!

Staff in the office, when they arrived late, were exceptionally rude & obstructive using a vehicle to block our van. We are marine engineers hired to work on one of their customer’s boats. Other work vehicles were present but apparently ours was not authorised - rather than politely asking us to move or even asking us for our insurance & details (we’re a long established limited company & authorised main dealers) we were sworn at & then blocked in by a Range Rover. The man even threatened us!We will not be returning to that “marina” and will be advising our customer to lift his boat (& spend his money) elsewhere. Such a shame as it’s a beautiful day and we were all in a good mood.My advice; avoid Kemps Quay like the plague as there’s some seriously toxic energy in the office.Customer service is non existent! Just awful.
