easily accessible for all with reasonably wide aisles, Poundland stocks an eclectic mixture of products. Due to the nature of this outlet, one sometimes has to wait weeks for a product you'd previously tried and liked to make a reappearance on the shelves, but there is a huge variety on offer, including healthy options in foodstuffs. Staff are, in the main, friendly and helpful, but a managerial policy of using a person to man the till AND do the approvals for self service machines can result in a lot of waiting around as well as a lot of running around for staff. The closing of the self-service lanes is often premature, leading to unhappy customers who are aware this is simply so staff can leave earlier.....but then, i can't judge them for that, all things considered. The shop is sensibly laid out and in general, reasonably tidy and there are 2 types of basket available, sensibly placed by the door. Don't go anywhere else for solar lights by the way - mine lasted all winter and the only ones i had to replace were from other more expensive retailers.

Staff was lovely & really helped out my disabled mum today by letting her use the staff toilet

This is the second shop I have been in today where they have a barrage of confectionery ready to ambush you and your kids at the checkouts. It an abysmal practice as all the sweets, crisps and sugar laden products have a when isle to themselves anyway.We are facing an epidemic of childhood obesiry, diabetes, hypertension and vertaic cancers that are all linked to eating these types of food. So why are you ahovish them into children's and adults faces?You do what you do well and offer affordable products to the public . Why would you want people to get I'll through you offering temptation while they are queuing to buy their goods. Take a stand and say no to this practice .

Rude staff. witnessed staff member hit a stock trolley into a customer, the lady that was hit said to her about it. Well oh my the staff member looked the lady up and down and said you should ahve said excuse me then. Then continued to verbally abuse this customer. I hope she did complain about this. Then it got me taking notice of the staff..... all young standing around chatting. Avoid this one and go to the one in the royals as staff are much more helpful and polite there. And head office please sort the management out at this store as that behaviour was totally unacceptable. was with my children and had to explain to them about the situation

Awful talking seasonal voices on self checkouts ( halloween, valentines, easter, christmas) - absolutely irritating and totally awful and unnecessary. They are annoying, distracting and serve no purpose.

A favourite shop of mine. The variety of quality goods available for just £1 is simply amazing. There is something new and the staff are always very pleasant.

It was a pleasant experience but the other 1 at the other end of the high st is cleaner and better stock in my experience everyone to their own

Reasonable shop, wheelchair accessible but not fantastic to get around because of the layout.Good selection of items, not great quality but it's what you would expect in such a shop.

The shop is okay. It's fairly cheap and most of the staff are friendly. However, there are often sweets and other bits of rubbish on the floor. With my daughter being so close to the floor (2 years old) I find that I'm often having to stop her putting sweets in her mouth that she's picked up from the floor!
