Even though covid19 has made life a little difficult at times, I found booking and arriving at Blithfield very easy, the fishing permits and boats were all ready when we arrived, the staff were helpful and friendly when needed but kept their distance well.The lake had recently been stocked so 7 anglers in my group managed 115 fish!!! My only complaint was the trout were only 1.5 to 2lb and didn't always fight very hard .The boats were clean, the engines all started easily and performed faultlessly all day. I fished here last year and was equally as happy with my day. If you want to catch trout and not too bothered about there size, then I fully recommend a days fishing here. Tight lines.

First time fly fishing, met lots of lovely people only to willing to help with advice for a novice. Now hooked, pardon the pun, booked second visit.Great value fishing in a beautiful setting.

As always an excellent day. The boats are moored in numbered bays and tied both fore and aft so getting in and out is easy. There is also a wheelchair accessible boat. All have good strong engines which are easy to start.Then there's the lodge, which sits above the boathouse. This has a comfortable seating area with tables where you can take your lunch break with great views out across the reservoir. There is a kitchen with the obligatory kettle and fridge and there's also a fridge, microwave and proper cooker.The reservoir speaks for itself with excellent fishing to be had whether by boat or bank.I would strongly encourage a visit to experience this jewel yourself.Tight lines!

Great fishing venue and nature reserve with good walking paths, very helpful and friendly staff

Thought I'd add my rating to ensure a fair and balanced view of the fishery... oh look, another 5 stars!Seriously, great fishery, staff, fish quality, boats and dry fly sport can be the best in uk.

Lovely well run fishery and well stocked. Easy to bank fish every area because of no obstacles behind you, so ideal for beginners.Surprisingly the north arm of the res is not fished much and I know many of the bigger over-wintered fish are there.

Superb venue. Well looked after. Highly professional service in the office and on the ground. Stunningly beautiful. Can get busy around the hot spots, but plenty of quiet areas can be found if you don't mind walking that bit further and/or fishing into the wind.

April '21.Huge well stocked trout reservoir that has great bank or motor boat sport.Friendly helpful staff.Car access to miles of bank track.Useful facilities in boathouse.
