This place is pure magic. It’s beautiful, tasteful, intriguing and clearly created with love. Our 6YO was captivated- it has never been so easy to get her to walk for 1.5 KM. Encourages children and grown ups to use their imagination to the max. I believed in faeries by the time we left. Excellent story telling event while we were there and illuminated trail for winter. Can’t recommend enough - a unique, tranquil and inspiring day out.

Really lovely place to take the kids to burn off some steam!! Fantastic trail with lots of info along the way! Limited menu in the café but incredibly friendly and helpful staff. My only advice would be to apply lots of insect repellent as we got feasted upon by the midgies or fairies!

A 1.5km trail through beautiful woodland with lots to see. It really does feels like a sanctuary for fairies and other magical folk. There are fairy doors and houses, giant nests, bridges and a maze amongst other things. There are also information boards explaining the stories and history of the magical inhabitants. There is no formal playground but for any child/adult that loves the natural beauty of the outdoors and has a vivid imagination it is a lovely place to spend a few hours. There are toilets at the beginning of the trail but none on the way round. The cafe at the end of the trail serves delicious food. There are options for children as well. Not cheap and cheerful but worth the prices in my opinion. Even though we visited at the weekend it wasn’t busy (although it was March) and I would definitely recommend to friends with children under 10 years old.

This place is so wonderful I have been on winter and summer. Summer is lovely because of all the flowers but there is an OBSCENE amount of mosquitos! So make sure you wear insect repellent as I was bit 25+ times which made it less enjoyable. It is definitely worth a visit though!

Place had a great feel about it and I'm sure the cafe food is great. We did the afternoon storytelling which was all good. We went to do the trail and were surprised that a lot of the trail wasn't lit up, so it was hard to even see a lot of it. We had torches, but it seemed a bit strange how a few bits were lit up, but the rest in darkness. Kids got a bit worried as it was pretty dark. Shame as it has a really great atmosphere at the cafe and museum. Staff were great too. Just not quite what we expected.

The place took a bit of finding but we got there. Of our 2 accompanying grand children the elder enjoyed the whole experience , the younger was especially happy with solving the maze. The cafe and museum are quirky , the coffee excellent, the 2 staff were friendly and helpful and quite entertaining.

This place is absolutely adorable!! We got a family ticket for 4 at £31.90 & it was worth every penny! My daughter and her friend loved it. (Aged 7 & 8) The trail is magical with some beautiful wooden designs of fairy houses & other creature dens. We managed to get a nice dry day, the girls dressed in fairy outfits which just made the day a little more magical and we got some beautiful pictures. If you are lucky you can spot some beautiful birds along the trail and hear them singing. The whole trail just feels magical and heartwarming. At the end of the trail we visited the fairy museum, this again has a lovely atmosphere full of magic and surprise. Beautiful little fairy props and stories. We finished the day at the tearoom, where we all had cake & drinks. A little but prices but worth it. I would absolutely recommend a visit here and we will be definitely returning soon ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great for children and adults. A 1.5 km walk through woodland with some great fairy houses and other items . Grandchildren loved it. A nice rustic cafe at the end. The maze is great too with obstacles like trees!

A lovely fairy trail in a beautiful wood just outside of York. Fairy attractions are tasteful and really stimulated the imagination of our kids (4 & 6) - there are signs with fantastic descriptions of various types of fairies for older kids - Food was top notch too. I'd really recommend.
