Strathassynt Guest House & Holiday Cottage, Ballachulish, Glencoe

The Strathassynt Guest House was just perfect. Not only are the owners (Neil&Katya) super friendly hosts but the location is ideal, rooms and breakfast are amazing and you can reach many hiking starting points (Beinn a’Bheithir for exampel) by foot. I do recommend the Strathassynt Guest House to everyone who wants to visit Glencoe, meet amazing people and have an unforgettable trip.Can‘t wait to come back! :)

We had a great stay with Neil and Katya. The room was very nice, bed was comfortable and the shower was great! In the morning the coffee and breakfast was delicious. We would definitely stay here again.

The owners are lovely and give great advice for tourism and the breakfasts are very generous. Rooms walls are a bit thin though.

Strathassynt is a very comfortable B&B conveniently located to the Glencoe Valley area. Neil and Katya are very accommodating hosts. They have thought of everything, down to charging blocks for your electronic devices by the comfortable beds. There are a couple of comfy chairs in each guest room, a rarity in the B&Bs we have stayed in recently. En-suite bathrooms are modern, new and spotless. Strathassynt offers a Guest Lounge with guest refrigerator in addition to the breakfast room. They offer multiple choices for breakfast- full Scottish, pancakes, omelette, bagel with salmon and cream cheese or crème fraiche. It’s conveniently located to all the walks and views in Glencoe Valley. There is a grocery, gift shop, nice restaurant and fish & chip shop across the street. It was such a perfect base for our travels. It felt as if we were coming home to stay with good friends at the end of our exploration days, and we hope to return someday. I can see why Strathassynt is a Rick Steves pick. Highly recommend!!

Absolutely a beautiful experience from start to finish. Extremely well appointed location, exceptionally clean and inviting, comfortable beds, cozy atmosphere. Neil and Katya are truly amazing hosts. Really appreciate the efforts to be more environmentally friendly as well as efforts to create a safe and warm atmosphere. Don’t hesitate to book here!!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there. The hosts are absolutely amazing, very kind and welcoming. The breakfasts are delicious and versatile, there’s something for everyone. Perfect location for hikes and a relaxing stay!

Unfortunately circumstances meant that we didn't end up staying, but Neil and Katya were lovely and super helpful and can't do enough for you. When we come back we would love to visit again - hopefully second time lucky!

We really couldn't have asked for more - great location, super breakfasts, well equipped and comfortable rooms, all alongside the finest hospitality and local knowledge.We will definitely be returning to the area at some point in future and the Strathassynt will be first choice for accommodation.

Great B&B, very friendly welcome from hosts, easy to find and convenient location. Our twin bedded room was perfect - quiet, comfy beds, Shower efficient and everything needed provided.Delicious breakfast. Nice strong coffee, good choice of options.All in all a great stay. Thank you!
