Sandburn Hall

Absolutely amazing setting, so quiet and peaceful even though the hotel was at capacity. Definitely not the place you'll see a lot of screaming kids.Food was delicious in the restaurant (evening meal), and the breakfast was beyond good. Great selection, fresh and tasty. If it wasn't included in the room rate, I absolutely wouldn't begrudge paying £15 for it.

We have just returned from our 2 night stay at Sandburn Hotel. The hotel itself is very grand and upmarket. Our room was very spacious and modern. The only issue with this was the found someone’s red glittery broken nail extension on the carpet that we had stepped on. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We would have preferred the rooms to be more soundproofed as you can hear everything from the hallway and other rooms. The slamming of doors was extremely loud in the morning and this would be the only reason I may not return in the future.

A short break for my wife and I (just 2 nights). Excellent service from everyone. Very good breakfast & evening meals. The grounds were great, and unusually for mid November, the weather was very good. I would have been irritated if we had needed to walk outside from the hotel to the restaurant in rainy weather, but as it was good, I have no complaint.Worth 5 stars but poor weather would lose it a mark (or half a mark).

Exceptionally clean, rooms are very spacious, large comfortable bed. Flat screen TV, USB chargers in plug sockets. Good tea, coffee facilities. Iron, hairdryer, safe. Luxury bathroom, shower was amazing, fluffy towels. Breakfast in Tykes restaurant was great, brilliant selection of hot food, plus cold buffet, fruit, pastries, toast, muffins, tea coffee juice. Had evening meal at Tykes, again everything prepared by chef in view, Exceptional meal, service was great. Gluten free option. Overall 5 stars. Loads of parking. Fabulous building inside and out, magnificent oak beams. Very stylish, decor is calming. Staff very friendly and professional.

This is the place to be . Extremely friendly staff . Excellent surroundings. Own golf and fishing. Weekends can get lively due to weddings (we had one from Newcastle) but staff even offered us use of private room for our drinks .. . Hopefully return many times

Visited the function room for a large anniversary dinner. What a lovely setting/room, staff were lovely & so helpful (& extremely efficient) & the dinner was fabulous!!! We had a lovely evening & can highly recommend the venue!!

I can't comment on the rooms. I've recently been to an event there for the 2nd year running at the golf club. The staff are lovely and the building and surroundings are gorgeous. I've only given 4 *s because the same things *still* aren't sorted from a year ago:1) upstairs, the pretty ambient lights just aren't enough in winter, especially for a craft-related event; we need to see!2) in the Ladies half the loos don't flush properly, half the sinks have no water and one of the two hand dryers is broken plus you need to top up the toilet paper more often; this was only a one-day event, but it was busy and most of the attendees were women

Friendly welcome, hotel spotlessly clean, amazing rooms. Very quiet, comfortable beds and air conditioning. An excellent 5 star short stay. Will definitely go back in the future

The most beautiful venue for our April Wedding 13.04.2023We booked here because we fell in love with the venue, the location was great and the hotel rooms were perfect.From booking the staff were super helpful and friendly with all our wedding questions. Our Wedding coordinator Louise was lovely, she was great with keeping track of meetings and a schedule. Would pop us an email over to see how we were doing and if there was anything she could do to help. Lovely lady.We had the most amazing day and all our family and friends loved it!

Came to use the golf course! Amazing greens, great course would 100% come back. Bar staff and pro shop all extremely friendly! Only thing that could do with some updating is the driving range but don’t let that stop you from coming here
