Been to this shop now a few times and have been very welcomed by Kate who always gives us a big smile and is a very attentive person. My wife whose in a wheelchair is very anxious with new situations and Kate made her feel very special. She loves the quirky and individual items in store and now this is her favourite shop on York. So thank you Kate for being kind and caring and making my wife feel so at ease.

I had the pleasure of visiting Angela Bare when I was in holiday in the UK this summer. The ladies in this store are lovely and helpful. Even though the store was hopping busy, they still gave my daughter and I personal attention and assistance. I bought a wonderful dress from this store and will visit again the next time I’m in York.

I spent a wonderful time just gazing at beautiful shoes and bags. As an irregular choice fan, Angela Bare stocks so many, it was just ahhhhh!! :)Angela is a sweet, amazing woman, its a must visit when in York!

Angela, Kate and the gang are incredible. Not only is the customer service a wonderful experience, but their knowledge of their products is second to none others. So many brands, well researched, great prices, and an independent shop that cares for its community. Angela is a powerhouse, one I admire and wish to emulate her hard graft and success as effortly as she makes it seem. 10/10 5* all the top marks for this gem of a find!

Fabulous shop, love the styles and the range of sizes is brilliant, so refreshing! Kate was the best, she was so helpful and put us at our ease immediately. Kate really knows what works for different shapes. So excited now I have a great outfit for my wedding! Definitely recommend the shop, and thanks Kate, you made our day!

A fantastic stock of unusual shoes and clothing, with a lot more besides. I bought a beautiful pair of bright yellow leather desert type boots with leather mock animal print heels, so comfortable made by Adesso, not a brand I have heard of but would certainly recommend. The delightful lady allowed us to roam in her shop unhindered but when asked was most helpful. My friend bought a pair of mock animal print boots and a few fairies, penguins etc for her Christmas tree. We were even allowed to leave our purchases to collect later. Excellent customer service and they do on line too! Thank you.

We wandered into this shop while visiting York in holiday and I’m so glad we stumbled upon it! They have an amazing selection of unusual, alternative clothes, shoes, and handbags, and the lady working there was so friendly and absolutely lovely.I bought a handbag and have received so many compliments already! Will definitely be coming back next time we are in town.
