Hired Miles to replace a very worn out sizable flat roof. The new EPDM roofing was installed in three days by two fellas. The work was carried out in an efficient and professional manner. The lads were friendly, tidy and caused as little inconvenience as possible to our lives at home. The finished result is excellent and we would recommend Miles Construct to anyone.

We employed Miles Construct to plaster and decorate our unfinished utility room and they were brilliant from start to finish. Everyone arrived on time and were friendly and thorough. Neil, who was with us for the week and did all the plastering/decorating etc, was an absolute star. Would definitely recommend using them.

I contracted Miles Construct Ltd. to build a retaining wall and make good the ground afterwards. They built it (22 Nov. 2021 - 27 Jan 2022) and left the site tidy as shown. Unfortunately we didn't part on good terms.

Used Miles Construct for two EPDM roofing jobs and repairing a balcony. The team took a lot longer than we expected but the end result was a good quality piece of work. Although not the cheapest solution, the company is flexible and works with the client during the process. We did present some challenges in respect of repairs to our balcony but the team were conscientious and worked hard to get the right result for us.

Miles Construct installed new french doors for me and externally rendered our garage. Small jobs, that, to be honest, many builders are not interested in. They were polite, reliable, and work was all tidily done. They just got on with it. I would highly recommend them.

I do NOT recommend this building company. I had to have a lot of their work repaired or redone including the roof. I asked them to leave eventually. Here is a list of findings during repairs/replacements work:DPM not connected to DPC.Floor had to be dug out to allow for polythene (to protect) walls. When dug, the concrete laid was almost powdery on one side. Was found to have been incorrectly mixed.Blockwork under door and window too high for threshold and was not laid inline – substantially out of true. Blocks had to be cut to fit.Stonework was outside roof line so completely useless – doing no job at all, and had to be removed.Sill size had to be altered as incorrect had been ordered. Mr Miles’ empoyees told window supplier to fit to internal cavity wall which would have been a sill measuring approx 9” if bi-fold door supplier not informed in time. 9” far too wide for convenient sill.Walls not vented and had to be retrospectively vented.No roof vents, nothing fitted correctly. Incorrect size timbers used for roof joists. These did not allow sufficient gap to permit insulation to be fitted, and still allow air gap for ventilation.Whole building out of square by approximately 30 mm, which is significant on such a small area.The steel post was inline with doors on front elevation but inline with interior so window couldn’t be fitted without significant alteration.Stone to side elevation omitted.Incorrect trim fitted to roof, with no ability to drain rainwater into gutter.Incorrect gutter end stop fitted, “glued” with silicone.
