We had to wait over an hour for a car despite an appointment. The car we had already confirmed was not available. The agent knew that we wanted the Highlands and gave us an e-car. Charging points were available all over Scotland. This was a lie. Our tour could not go ahead as planned as there are few charging points and even fewer fast charging points. He only wanted to give us another vehicle with an internal combustion engine for an extra charge, although it wasn't our fault. I won't rent a car here again!

The “representative” at the car rental is a SCAMMER. The company included backed him up. Please DO NOT fall for this scam. We were forced to pay £600+ when we came to pick up the car because apparently the car insurance we received through our credit card was not valid “for Americans and Canadians”. The person refused to let us have the car unless we signed. We showed him a proof of insurance because our credit card covers collision damage as well as theft. It is a better insurance than the one the car rental provides. However this person checking us in told us we couldn’t have the car.We complained about this after, and there was no proof this was necessary. It is entirely a lie. However we were on our way to a wedding and couldn’t afford to delay our trip anymore (after 1.5hours) of telling this guys the car IS COVERED BY our insurance. We provided a proof of insurance from chase sapphire showing their insurance is covered world wide.On top of that it’s been 4 weeks and we still haven’t gotten our deposit back either. This branch of auto Europe is tainted and do NOT rent from here.

We booked our vehicle on their website, money was deducted from our account, we reached the kiosk only to find out that our booking has been cancelled. To top that, the customer service offered at the kiosk was appalling! The gentleman was indignant and impertinent in his conduct. He was dismissive of what we said and made us wait for 20 minutes only the tell us (rather rudely) that he has no vehicles to offer us. An absolutely disappointing experience with the company and a horrid encounter with the gentleman. Never again!

How lucky are Europcar to have an employee called Lucas . He had 10 in the queue and was pleasant and engaging with all. He is a professional, charismatic, helpful employee. Amazing. He handed us over to Mandy who was equally helpful. She informed me and reassured us on the use of the car. Many thanks to them both.

If returning your car to this depot the drop-off point is in the basement of a Mall car park. Your car navigation will have no clue where to drop off the car.It was not until I decided to park the car and walk up to the desk that I found where the Eurocar drop-off was buried.The whole process was incredibly frustrating and a dreadful way to finish off what had otherwise been an enjoyable holiday.A heads-up about the basment drop off would have been nice when I picked up the car.Customer satisfaction - ZERO.

Ridiculously hard to find location. We got stuck in heavy traffic, and then the navigation had no idea where to take us (it was trying to take us inside the mall). No instructions from Europe car as to where the drop off was. Even once we figured out it was inside the basement carpark, the signage directed us into the middle of a building site (see photo). Exceptionally rude welcome from the clerk at the dropoff desk who made it very clear she did not give a sh*te. And then proceeded to give us a hard time about the extensive pre-existing damage on the car. Even though we had it all documented from the fleet service company (who described the car as “riddled with damage”). Terrible terrible experience.Not to mention the whole malarkey begin with our months in advance booking being cancelled less than a week out.Find another car hire company. Plenty of better options out there.

Your staff personnel who handled my rentals pushed very hard to sell me insurance that I didn't need. I believe they get a premium from Europcar for selling that insurance even though they knew I was covered by my credit card. That serves them but it is not very fair to your customers, and I believe that effort should be discontinued.The same thing happened to me in Ireland when I rented a car in mid-May. I ended up buying the insurance in Ireland from a very, very rude agent who was engaged in a shouting match with a customer from France and threatened him with cancelling his car when he refused pay the charges. (That agent should be fired). And even though I bought the insurance, which was over 800 Euro, they still charged me over 500 Euro for some very minor damages on the car. I met several of your customers who were in line complaining about the same thing. As a comparison, I rented a car from Hertz in the UK who accepted my insurance and never even mentioned additional insurance charges. I will never rent from your company again.

Amazing customer service. Lucas was outstanding at looking after everyone in the queue and managing the whole reception / check in on his own. Mandy was patient and friendly when showing us how to drive the automatic car and gave us confidence before hitting the road! Kind, friendly and helpful service. Thank you Lucas and Mandy! We had an amazing day in our electric car. Great experience overall.
