Martin was able to pinpoint what was going on for me by bringing in the whole of my biomechanics. He is thoroughly knowledgable, his reassuring confidence is based on years of developing his expertise. He explains things well and is very thorough in his treatment, including gait analysis and feedback. I feel I am getting a comprehensive treatment rather than a shot in the dark, or just treating one element, which I have experienced before. I would highly recommend him.

I had an appointment with Martin Bell, who owns and runs Berkeley Centre Health, through which he also sees patients of his FootWorks Orthotics practice.Reception is welcoming, and the atmosphere relaxing. Martin is also very quick to put you at ease. His manner is friendly, his approach to the work he does steeped in his acute (and very funny) observational humour, which is shared rather than imposed, and therefore not at all disconcerting.Noticing how people move, in particular when they are walking, is a key measure of Martin's skill, and there is no doubt he is exceptional at what he does. Knowing you are experiencing lower back pain just by watching you get up out of a chair and walk is slightly unnerving, but then reassuring as you realise he also knows how to help you relieve that pain.What is also impressive about Martin is that he does not prescribe his own services if he believes you would be better served using a specialist of a different nature.This means that, if you are suffering any kind of skeletal or muscular pain - neck, back, hips, knees, ankles - then it is well worth seeing Martin first. He will observe, evaluate, diagnose and then direct you to the most appropriate solution.Highly recommended.

I have had issues with knee pain for most of my life and it has been restricting my fitness and leisure activities increasingly. Martin got straight to the root of the problem and then provided me with custom made inserts for shoes that have made a huge difference. I am now much more mobile and pain free. Martin is so good I referred my daughter to him, and she is now getting regular assistance. I recommend Martins services highly!

Since I was first recommended to see Martin by my Orthopaedic Consultant several years ago he has made a huge difference to my ability to continue to enjoy the active life that I have always loved. Martin has been helping me with my many leg and feet problems for a number of years now.I love my walking and just didn't want to stop, despite being in considerable pain with my Achilles heels. Martin managed to sort it all out though, and in 4 days I'm off to the Himalayas for a much longed-for trip that wouldn't be possible without his help.I've got some specially prescribed insoles that help my posture and I can now walk painfree. Martin Bell at Footworks Orthotics is so knowledgeable and great. I went in expecting to just be given insoles for my shoes (as I had them previously) but Martin does more than that. I was asked to walk up and down and walk on a treadmill while Martin filmed me and then showed me in slow motion how my body works. It was interesting to see. He then gave me exercises and stretches specific to my problems. It was wonderful to have someone go so in-depth and help me understand my body better. Martin is lovely to chat to and made me feel very comfortable. I’d highly recommend him to anyone.

I have been through a lot of rehabilitation and met a lot of doctors since my injury. Martin stands out from all of these with his realistic common sense approach. His excellent holistic diagnosis and exercise programme have put me back on track to resume an active physical life and the severe pain in my feet has gone. I have no reservations in recommending Martin to anyone suffering pain while walking.

Our son had plagiocephaly treatment at 6 months old, by 9 months it was treated and barely visible. Martin fitted him with a TiMband helmet which was 3D printed to his head size and shape and through continual use the helmet reshaped his head.Chosing to pursue the use of a orthotic helment was a difficult decision bearing in mind the NHS does offer them nor does it promote the use of them. Our son also had torticollis which led to the flattening of his head, despite physio this was not improving his head shape. We decided to try a helmet and it was the best decision we could have made.After the first week, our son's head was visibly returning to a normal shape and continued to improve over the 3 month period.If you can afford to get a helmet for your child I would not hesitate in recommending Martin Bell and the TiMband product.Thanks Martin!
