My fiancé at the time (now my wife) and I needed some wedding rings made for our wedding, mine was quite a straightforward band, however my wife's needed to match her engagement ring. The engagement ring has a very complex pattern on the band and Shakela at Abbey was excellent in taking that away to see what could be done. The result, was something that my wife was even more happy about than the original engagement ring. Hand etched and just beautiful. I should have deducted a star for that, since they upstaged my original engagement ring, however that would not be fair...you can probably tell she said yes, just like I say yes to going here every time I need to find that perfect sparkly gift for my wife.

I recently damaged an earring beyond repair....it was from a most favourite pair bought over 6 years ago from this shop. I rang up, not really knowing if they would be able to help. I have today received by First class recorded delivery an exact same pair ....the ladies l spoke with were so helpful and found the original bill of sale with the stock item details and then proceeded to track down another pair for me....l cannot speak highly enough of the amazing customer service that the staff provide....thank you.

We bought both our wedding rings here, Simon was very helpful. We had a custom designed ring made and turnaround was quick. Very happy with the service and would recommend them to anyone looking to buy wedding rings.

So disappointed with Abbey. I had them remove a couple links from a watch I bought for my partner. Not only did they not do this but they lost pieces and couldn’t put the watch together again. They told us they would send it out to be fixed by a specialist, after a month of not hearing anything I went in and asked what happened. They never sent the watch out, basically forgot about us and had done nothing to the watch. They handed it back to me broken and missing pieces. Not one apology or offer to help fix it. Stay away!!

I commissioned a signet ring for my eldest son and heir to the family estate. The staff could not have been more personable and charming. The engraver's work was excellent. Would recommend (and I do this rarely).

After many years of wear, my engagement ring was in need of repair, the claws holding the stone were broken and damaged.I have just collected it and am chuffed to bits! It looks just like new. As well as the claws being repaired the whole setting has been restored, the ring has been polished and the diamond is super sparkly. The fantastic memories of when I first wore it and admired it sparkling in the sunshine 25 years ago came flooding back! Went to look at engagement rings today. Was initially not welcomed into the establishment. After a while we tried to enter again, a lady opened the door and looked us up and down and gingerly let us in. We were looking to purchase an engagement ring and future wedding bands. But greeted by a frosty reception and an unwelcoming stare, we felt uncomfortable and decided to leave. What should have been a wonderful experience was very uncomfortable and disappointing.

A wonderful jewellers in the heart of Berkhamsted! I always love looking in the windows to see what lovely pieces they have in. The staff is always helpful and kind and I always come away with pieces that I love. They were particularly helpful when I wanted to have two rings made on two separate occasions (one a very simple rose gold design and one more complicated made from some diamonds that came from my grandmother). They made quite an emotional experience very special. Highly recommend!

I approached Simon and the team at Abbey to design and make a diamond ring, this was a very sensitive issue as the diamond belonged to my beautiful mother who recently passed. They were amazing from start to finish, compassionate, dedicated, and Simon's advice was flawless, the result is the most beautiful ring imaginable which I will cherish always. The service has been exceptional throughout, the cost very reasonable Simon always gave me options and alternatives. I couldn't praise him and the rest of the staff enough. I will always go back to Abbey.

On holiday in the area, my husband took his watch to be repaired. The lady in Abbey took the watch to the back room and managed to fix it while we waited and wouldn't take any payment. We also found a lovely necklace for our niece's birthday.
