Chafford Park

Amazing venue for our wedding in the summer. Alicia and Sarah worked really hard to make sure we had the best day possible. Both the indoor and outdoor ceremony areas are beautiful and the main barn is a perfect setting for food and dancing. Couldn’t recommend highly enough.

Unfortunately a really uncomfortable experience, which is a shame as this was my favourite venue prior to booking and really is beautiful. Initially we had booked in a wedding viewing and received a prompt response. We had email confirmation for a viewing with arrival from 3-3:30pm. As part of the email we stated our names - Evie and Kirstie and this had been addressed in the response 'Congratulations on your engagement - Evie and Kirstie'. As an LGBT couple it can already be daunting looking at venues and hoping you will be accepted. When we arrived at Chafford Park for our viewing, no one was there to greet us. We phoned the number on the website and a lady answered, she said she would let the owner know who was taking our viewing. We then received a call from the owner saying 'Hello is this Abbie, I thought your appointment was at 5pm', it turns out this was another appointment and due to a miscommunication ours had not been put in the diary. Of course, things like this happen and everyone makes mistakes, although it is slightly unprofessional. The owner was very apologetic that this had happened. We then had to wait a further 20 minutes as the owner was at the shops and had to return to the venue. When we were greeted the owner said ' So who is the bride?' we instantly felt uneasy and awkward and replied 'Both of us' to which she didn't respond. We were shown into the beautiful ceremony area and asked when we were thinking of getting married to which we responded 2026. The owner said 'It's a bit early to be looking for 2026, we haven't even thought about 2026'. Again, making us feel uncomfortable, whereas other venues had said it's great you are getting in early and being organised. Understandably it is early for the venue, however as a couple who will need to save for the occassion this was perfect timing for us. We felt very awkward viewing the venue, we weren't asked anything about us or what we wanted from our wedding. We also were not able to view the onsite wedding accommodation as it is rented out. This is understandable but is a shame as you cannot get a real picture of the entire venue. Compared to other viewings we felt very unwelcomed and if you are an LGBT couple I would not recommend this venue, which is a huge shame as it is stunning.

We had the most amazing wedding at Chafford Park! It really is the most stunning venue, especially in June when everything is in full bloom. We really wanted as many of our friends to be able to stay with us across the whole weekend and this venue offered just that. The glamping tents were a huge hit with our guests and the long barn where we stayed was beautiful (and perfect for getting all the girls glammed up on the big day!) Alicia and Sarah were so helpful, making sure everything was just as we wanted it and that the day ran smoothly. We couldn’t have pictured a more perfect place for our wedding and can’t wait to return for some more glamping in the years to come!

We loved this venue so much! So many beautiful locations all in one place. The house is stunning for prep and the ceremony and reception spaces are gorgeous!

Could not recommend Chafford Park more. It is such a beautiful venue and the team are constantly improving and adding extra touches to the venue.I loved the ability to chose our own caterers - I was able to bring in my African heritage by choosing an African caterer and it really made the day feel unique and special to us.The sound system is unusual but once you are underneath it, it is great. We worked with a recommend DJ and saxophonist from Mint DJs who were really great and got the party started.The added touch of having rooms on site for the family really made it easier. We were able to have a lovely family dinner the night before and able to enjoy the farm for the full three days.Really was our dream day and we are so grateful.

Where to start...what a beautiful wedding venue. So picturesque and relaxed. The grounds feel luxurious and private without losing the homely aspects we wanted for our special day. We knew when we looked at Chafford Park that it was the perfect place for our wedding. Sarah, Alicia and Catherine are an excellent team who have an eye for detail and really made sure we were looked after throughout the lead up and on the day. All questions are answered promptly and with care. The landscaped area around the stunning barns provide a perfect backdrop for photos and the barns made the most intimate space for our ceremony and reception. We are so grateful for the time and care to make our day so special. Highly recommend to go and view Chafford park and find out why it is just so special.

Not just a wedding venue, this is also a lovely holiday house. We just spent a wonderful 10 days at Chafford Park. The owner and her family were all so welcoming and kind. Everything we needed or requested was provided in a timely manner. Our kids could not get enough of the ducks in the pond, the friendly dogs or petting the horses.We had guests visit us over the holiday as well and everyone loved the house. It was such a treat to have such a historic venue for a traditional British Christmas.The surrounding towns were fun to visit and the owner knew all the good places. She is well thought of; Mentioning her name certainly opened a few doors.For a weekend of a longer holiday, I highly recommend Chafford Park.

The team in Chafford Park made our wedding easy and amazing especially on the day! I would highly recommend this place as it is beautiful as it is and it’s more beautiful during the evening with all the fairy lights.

Absolutely love this venue!!! The grounds are beautiful and the staff are incredible and really helpful. Despite the torrential rain, we had the perfect day. Catie and Sarah ensured the day went smoothly. Just wish we could do it all again! Thank you all xx

Chafford Park is the most beautiful location I have ever been to. The host/owner was the most amazing and kind lady I have ever come across - not only was she so generous, she was so willing to help at any point during our stay. She was on call if we had any sort of questions and she was on site the entire time - and even shared a drink with her at the end!! She was such a fun, kind person who totally brought the party atmosphere! What she has created is truly incredible. We had the best time there - I can’t believe somewhere so stunning exists so close to London. I cannot wait to come again!
