Preston Circus Dental Practice

I was really happy with my visit today. Had been looking for a dentist for a while and was recommended here by a friend. Dr Beshara was really helpful and the reception staff were very efficient which meant I wasn’t standing around needlessly.

After years of being with this practice I had to leave. After a family check up, the male dentist rounded up the cost of the dental work we all needed to over £3k. I have 2 small children and have never had any trouble with my teeth until I became a patient there.We walked away filled with dread and fear holding a prescription for toothpaste that he insisted me and my child needed but failed to mention the cost of that.I got to the pharmacy only to be charged £40 for a wholesale amount of toothpaste.Such a nasty and horrible experience.I went for a second opinion at Bupa to be told that I needed NONE of the work he said I needed which included a root canal, 6 fillings and a crown. The only work we all needed was to fix a bad filling that had been put in at Preston Circus Dentistry.Save yourself the trauma, pain and money and find another practice.

I have been with this practice for many years and I am delighted with the service provided. My dentist is Dr Sarah Lyseight. She is simply excellent. All dental works are carefully explained before taking place and Sarah always gives you several options to choose from. It is always a pleasure to see her which is only enhanced by her warmth and good humour. I would strongly recommend her and the practice in general as the hygienists and reception team are also fantastic.

I'd been a happy patient here for a number of years until recently. My regular dentist (who was brilliant and great with me as a nervous patient) moved on during lockdown which I had no idea about until I booked my latest appointment, which was disappointing.I'd probably had stayed with them but there seems to be a new team on reception who really lack the empathy and patient-facing skills the job requires. Twice in the past year I've needed an emergency appointment for an infected tooth. The first time, the guy on reception offered me an appointment a week later (despite me saying I was in pain) - and when the practice manager later called me to rearrange that appointment because the dentist had to isolate, it become apparent I'd been booked in for just a regular check up and not an emergency appointment for an infection, as needed.More recently, I had a second infection (root canal failed) and was in real agony with it all night. I phoned (in tears!) at 8.30am, when the website states they open, but no one answered until 9.15am and even then I couldn't get an emergency, same-day appointment. My cheek and lip were swelling and there was no way I could wait to see a dentist so I ended up going elsewhere privately and paying to be seen that day.It's a shame because I was a happy patient here for years but I feel there's been such a shift recently and I want to be at a practice where there's empathy when I'm in pain and where they'll really try to help me. I've now registered elsewhere having been recommended another practice which already seems to have a much more caring approach.

Staff were really friendly. The dentist put me at ease as I was nervous. They were running 10 minutes behind schedule but kept me up to date about it. Will be my regular now for all my treatments.

I have been a patient at this practice for approaching ten years. My teeth are in generally poor condition having not looked after them when I was younger. This has of course led to quite a lot of work and various associated issues. They have always done their best to try and help me and have been professional and freindly througout. Recently I have been seen by Abs and prior to that was seeen By Sarah, both were very good. I would also highly recommend Jake as a hygienst with a gentle touch!

Always a good experience at Preston Circus Dental Practice. Nice to know I have a dentist that I feel very confident with.

I have always had excellent service from this practice and value my dentist immensely. The practice offers first class dental procedures at the highest level. I would happily recommend them to anyone. They do try to accommodate all types of disability although the site is not practical for wheelchair users.

I'd had problems with dentists in Brighton & when a tooth split was desperate. Gave PCDP a try and was pleasantly surprised. Saw Dr Beshara who was able to do a very difficult extraction on the spot, saving me from added days of pain. So very pleased. Returned today for a hygienist's appointment & saw Jake, their very professional & courteous hygienist. Overall, I'm very happy with Preston Circus Dental Practice.
