First time I've actually been compelled to review a place. My car failed it's MOT and needed new brake pipes.Not only was this sorted quickly but the prices were good and they had taken it back for a retest by the time I picked it up.Will definitely come back here and the guy I spoke to when I picked up the car was lovely.Only downside is it's a little hard to find. So for anyone else looking it's between another garage and a car wash yard.

Mike is the best. Quite a few years ago, there was an undercover survey of garages in which a camera was hidden under the bonnet to see if the garage really did what they charged for. Mike's came out as a completely honest garage. We have used him for years, and still do even after moving to Exeter - whenever the car needs a service it is fitted in with a trip to see friends in York!

John does my service and MOT every year but yesterday I took it to him as my rear window wash didn’t work sorted it in 15 mins and does not rip you off. Always happy to take my car there.

Mike Towend is the sort of mechanic you wish everyone to get hold of. He's fab, totally trust him, he's been looking after my car for the last 5 years and for as long as i live in York i wouldnt go anywhere else to get my car fixed :-)
